Sweet Baboo Present for shoot. Great day at the Club.

Dig those Zombie targets.
Had trouble with my Beretta Neos. Magazine was freezing up and not feeding.
Must investigate further. A gun should work in sub-freezing temps.
No trouble with my Glock, of course.
MSG, love your new bug.

Any further news?

I called him and left a message but haven't heard back. I hate to bug him during this time but want to make sure he is OK and doesn't need help with anything or with family stuff. I will call again and give you an update if he says it is OK (assuming I can get hold of him).

WhiteRussian 5

I waz siting there, drinking coffee, realizing that no one was going to show up,
and than a guy walks in open carrying.
I walked up and introduced myself. "You here for the meet".
"What meet". He didn't know that we regularly meet Sunday @ 10.
So, we sat down together and had a good conversation.

There were a few sheeple gawking at our sidearms.

Next Sunday will be the last meet for me. I will be traveling for 4 or 5 months.

I ran into WhiteRussian at his place of employment while I was open carrying. Had a nice chat and he told me he was on the board (but not super active). Glad he now knows about the meet. Wish I could EVER remember to get up on Sunday morning and drive to Bellingham for coffee. I need to put it into my calendar. Think I'll go do that now. Maybe I'll actually show up one weekend. :)

MSG, wow you have a rifle scabbard. Hard to find.
Yes, I have a cheap rifle to OC in Cali. Marlin model 60, just in case it gets confiscated,
I won't cry. Got my bail out money ready.

Nice sunny day. Got out to the woods. Shot 240 rounds. Run & Gun.
.40 cal is such a bitchin' round.
Sub-2000 primary.
Glock 22, 1st backup. Thigh drop holster.
SR-40, mounted cross draw on tact vest for off-hand (left) training.
NAA mini-revolver, 22 LR. Bug of a bug "Get off me gun".

We did the wednesday night "shop all over and then dinner thing". Ended up at the Super Buffet on Meridian. No notice, no worries.

Run and gun, eh? How's the video camera?

Sweet Baboo and I went to Lynden last night for the parade. No issues. On the walk back to the car after, a guy mentioned that my jacket had ridden up over my weapon. I said " thank you, it's supposed to, I prefer to open carry." He smiled and kept walking. Fun parade, I like small towns.
Starbucks at 10 hundred today

Don't forget that OC is now illegal in Kalifornia. (Don't worry, good news is that the average person now has no way to "bear arms" and there will probably be a lawsuit filed soon. Hoping for a ruling that they either have to allow less restrictive OC than they have or start issuing permits.)

Went down to the DOL in Cordata yesterday to renew my DL. (Yup, another five years older) Sat there for about forty five minutes reading my book while I waited for my number to come up. Walked up to get my DL, got it and left. Not a single comment and I can't imagine no one noticed as you have to walk right across in front of everyone to a) get to the counter, b) get from the counter to the photo, and c) walk from the photo place to the exit.

Sunday morning Starbucks meet.

just me.
I was in the VA Hospital the other day. A guy came up to me and said he recognized me and had seen me at Starbucks on sundays. I asked him to come along and bring a weapon.

I was alone for the Sunday morning Starbucks at bakerview. I was hoping a few of the new members were going to show. Maybe next week. Been all over town this week, no worries.
Sky has headed south, I have not seen Robert. Bellingham has been quiet.

I was reading the paper at starbucks this morning when an old guy came up and asked if I was "Exercising my 2nd Amendment rights?" "Yes, I am. sez I.
we had a short conversation about his weapons (xd40 & a 1911) and his 25 yrs in the Corps. (not corpse, you bloody kenyan fool). I gave him a brochure and invited him back.

I see OCing as an active part of citizenship. I feel invisible, but quite a few people take notice and maintain a low profile about it. Some, like this mornings Marine, are braver and will approach. I just hope I keep coming across as an average citizen.

Creekside Dental, Dr Benjamin An

Been going there for about a year and a half now, always have my 45 on my hip when I go in, never a word said. New dental assistant today asked if it was loaded (I said yes), asked if I was a police officer (I said no). Got to educate her about carrying a firearm for personal defense and self reliance. Pointed out that the police can not physically prevent every crime, that they can only stop a perpetrator from committing future crimes by removing him from society, but that this doesn't help the original victim. She seemed quite amenable to that, then made the final comment that "as long as the safety is on, I guess it's OK". I then told her about the guy in Bellingham who was asked to unload his pistol at the tattoo parlor and had an AD. I explained to her that there is absolutely no way for a firearm to discharge if it is left in it's holster and not monkeyed around with, mechanical safety or not. She thought that made sense also.

All in all a good encounter, plus I'd highly recommend Dr An. I've had quite a few old fillings replaced as they were crumbling, and it has been the most pleasant and easy experience I've ever had with a dentist.
