Thanks for putting this on Zig.

It was great meeting and talking to those I got a chance to talk with. It was also good to be able to put some faces to names.

There were some people who expressed an interest in a GR M&G, so we're going to see what we can come up with.

Good times! We had (from my rough count) about 30-35 attendees in all. I was told that I've already been on Channel 3 (WWMT) news, and I'm expected to see my mug on WXMI and WWMT again tonight! The Kalamazoo Gazette should be running a nice article as well.

Many thanks to all who showed up. It was quite the cookout! There was WAYY TOO MUCH FOOD! I thought we'd be short.

I'm glad that all went well, though I had wish that the 3-squad and two foot-patrol officers would have come by for a brat or burger :p

Good to see you all. Hope we can do it again soon. Maybe an OC Litter clean up?

Wife & I had a good time got to meet a bunch of good people , ate and talked. Did have two officers on the otherside of the park talking to the homeless, some of the homeless did leave.

The group did Get to feed one lady that appeared to be down & out she even came back for seconds, guess she liked our food that we all served at the picnic.

Some of us talked poly sci. others talked of events in our lives, and still others talked of all things of importants:what:The weather was good and the maker of rain did give us a little demo of what could happen but didn't.

Seemed to be alittle more than normal amount of black & whites buzzing around but they seemed to be BUSY....

Gave out info to those that where in need of knowledge.

Ziggy got to be on camera and on audio, will see later on if he is photogentic or not:lol:

I enjoyed chatting with all of you today (I was the newcomer with the sissy fannypack--with my trusted "friend" inside...as I didn't have a standard, external holster for OC).

As one who has been exercising his 2nd Amendment rights with CCW, I look forward to also learning more about OC. Tony

I also had a great time meeting and chatting with all that attended. This was the first picnic I have been to and it was very informing and welcoming to say the least. Thanks and lets do it again soon.

Good times, indeed! Was really happy with the turn-out and seeing passers-by expressing interest. Oh, and that'd be my umbrella lol - not my chairs tho. Just looked like a good place to set the umbrella at the time  So get back to me if you would on that lol

Of course Iforgot to thank Zig for getting it together. I still don't have ALL the faces-to-online handles down yet but will get there. I'm anxious to see what shows up in the news, you'll have to post!! Thanks all and I'll be looking forward to the next...whatever, that I can attend! Again, really enjoyed the larger turnout. Thanks especially to those who drove a good distance (@ $3/gallon).

By the way, Tony, re: the "sissy" fanny pack lol ... at least in your case, we'll say that having THAT kind of friend in it takes away the sissy factor. You get a pass. lol Was good to meet you and all else who I met today.

Zig I would be all for an OC litter cleanup!
Fantastic idea. Probably among the most highly visible meetings possible if done right. Also puts a really positive spin on open carriers in general.

For those who were interested in possibly attending my hearing - it is June 19 at 8:29am at the 8th District Court-227 W. Michigan Ave Courthouse. Offense: CCW-License. Cited for Failure to disclose IMMEDIATELY- although I was not stopped and volunteered the info.
