Wish they would post what you need as active duty. DD214 is a little hard to find.

Well, my mail just arrived. Yep, same ****!! The DOJ is still collecting interest on my money! They have had my money for 14 days and no permits. Yes, the applications were mailed separately.

NICS check at local dealer...approved in under 1 minute!!

WTF DOJ???

A nice C-word of a lady at the DOJ told me with the utmost attitude that they have 45-days to issue it so until that time expires no one should expect their permit.

She said... "Once your check gets cashed your application goes in to a pile for background checks. Once the background check it complete it goes in to a pile for printing. Once printing is complete it goes in to a pile for mailing where everything is packaged. Finally from there it goes in to a pile to be taken to the post office."

Seeing as how there are so many piles, I don't think it makes much sense to compare your application processing with anyone else, which is what I was doing watching this and other threads. My buddy just received his (lives blocks from me), and I've yet to receive mine. He mailed his on a 2nd, I mailed mine on the 1st before noon.

Permits are gay.

goforlow..................you are being hosed.

something is not right????

Being mailed from EAU means that they would have gotten it any where from 1-3 days with 2 days being avg. I have mailed items to madison and what should have taken 1 day, took 5 days.

So, if you base your delay on them getting your apps on the 3rd or 4th, then you arent really past due at all.

apps received on nov2 should result in a permit # of the low 10Ks down to low hundreds.

apps received on nov3 could result in permits # in the range of 10K-20K. They are still only in the 10K range to date.

If you mailed from EAU and they got it on the 3rd then you could still be about 8 days left in your wait???

If you base your delay on your check being cashed on the 8th, then you are being completely hosed by DOJ.

its just additional proof that no one should assume permits will be received 7-10 days after check cashed.

That's 7 - 10 business days, not including holidays (Veterans Day) or weekends according to the hag I spoke to.

Hag? Geezus! These DOJ employees aren't to blame for how their bosses set up the system. They are just doing the best they can with an impossible work load and a bunch of whiney-ass citizens nagging them. Lighten the f&*k up.

Hey Dave -- PISS OFF.
There was no reason for this woman to speak to me in the manner she did. So yes she acted like a hag.

No kidding. I figured when you got yours, I would expect mine a few days later.

I hope yours didn't get misplaced by the carrier. I was afraid mine would.

Don't think so. I asked her to look for it, and to call me if she sees it when sorting the mail in the morning, and I'll come pick it up. I'm at the end of the route and she doesn't get to me until almost 4pm. She delivered one to my neighbor last thursday, so she knows what it looks like...
