As it should be, gogo. Nice!
As I stated in my thread about Sam's club it's not a rebel manager. Corporate called me and said this location doesn't allow firearms period.Sunday, we had some errands to run.
First we stopped by Sam's at the Auburn Supermall/Outlet Collection to get gas and then jaunted across the parking lot to Wal Mart to get a few things. Spent a good 20 min in Wally World, they were very busy and as many many many times before there was no issues. Greeted by the door greeter, checked out by the cashier, passed on several aisles by employees.
Then back over to Sam's to pick up about 5 fresh items. Went in grabbed a cart and showed our card to the door greeter, William. William is an older heavy set guy, he had on a Washington ball cap. William, after greeting me, informed me that I could not go in with my pistol. His tone was a bit abrasive and like he fancied being able to tell someone that they couldn't do something.
I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I politely smiled and looked him in the eye and said thank you William. I let Rene go into the store and I returned to my vehicle in the parking lot. I covered my Sig with my t-shirt and re-entered the building. William again greeted me and looked at my hip. He then blurted out, "you still have it, you can't come in here with your pistol" I ignored him, not stating if I had it or not and walked to find Rene. I could here William get on the radio and frantically call for a manager....
I walked past several employees and no one said a word. It did not appear that anyone was looking for me either. I found Rene, finished our shopping, got in line and paid for our groceries. Waited for the clerk to validate our receipt (just across from William's view) and left.
Yes, I know that there is a thread here for Sam's and that we have a rebel manager (Sam's doesn't prohibit firearms, just this manager at this location) who has rested his view on the Outlet Collection rules. Although Sam's is in the same complex and most likely in an agreement with the OC, there is no direct access from the interior mall.
My approach is not always the hard line (no guns = no money) as in modern times with these big corporations a boycott is a near impossible task. Sometimes I like to carry OC until I'm discovered. Sometimes I carry CC in and OC on the way out as a way to visually normalize. Sometimes I carry CC, because concealed is concealed.
I will be writing corporate about my experience....
Asked to put my "gun" in the car whilst conducting business at OBEE credit union in Lacey "as this is a ... (wait for it)...GUN FREE ZONE". Replied that no I'd be leaving and taking my business elsewhere. Contacted the head of OBEE who confirmed that they are in fact an unsafe place to be.
Anyone know of a "gun" friendly credit union round these parts . Thanks

Here in Whatcom County, WECU is good. Weird considering it stands for Whatcom Educational Credit Union.
edit; A posting fo all those that OC/CC south of the city of Seattle to Olympia....nothing more nothing less....trying to make OC as normal and pleasant as anything else that is legal!
12/21 Twin Lakes Fred Meyer (Federal Way)...with 15yo daughter...never a problem, no one noticed. I was in the store about an hour, returned some clothing and bought groceries.
......... and the wife is happy again.
She hasn't shot me yet, so I assume she's still happy...Yes, that should last for, I don't know, 3.... 2..... 1.....

It has been a while for me but I had someone tell today that I could not OC at the local city park. The gentleman had told me that he had been ticketed by Lakewood PD a few years ago for OCing (not sure if he was telling the truth or not) because the city does not allow that. I told him that the city has no such law on the books since it would violate the state preemption law (which he had never heard of before) and I have been ocing for years and have nothing but good interactions with the Lakewood police. He then told me thanks for the info and we both went on our merry way in the park.
