pat,you need to accept that the younger generation is starting to get into firearm rights and not pick on them and blame them.

i cant go through my own even thread without you blaming me for all kinds of things, most notably the ponderosa event which i had no control over how things went down.

now your going on the new kid about his lifestyle.

and alot of people are getting pissed at you for it.

OK Dokie. I cant see Pat picking onor blaming anyone that doesnt deserve it. Some of these new younger generation know it all's need to wake the F*%$ up. First of all if you cant get a cpl because of your age or carry a firearm, you probably should'nt be coordinating anything in regards to OCing or MOC.

If you notice most of the issue's or problem children with OC related court issue's/charges are of the younger generation?. Doesnt that tell you something? young dumb and you know the rest. Would'nt it pay for you to sit down, shut up and learn. Instead of becoming another example of how not to be an OCer.
WOW! If this in an example of tolerance, then we have a long way to go! The Constitution is for everyone! Period!

I'm 20 now, but first joined MOC at 19. Whenever I OC I conduct myself as if I were at a job interview, or talking to a purdy girl. And I always make sure my beard and hair are trimmed neatly, although that's not a problem for most my age(Put grizzly adams to shame before middle school:cuss:).

I haven't even heard age mentioned really until the last few months. So there must be a reason for that.

But we should all remember were here, united, under the terms of progressing 2A rights in our state, and our nation. And I think that's alot more important then ANY difference there might be. Age, race, sex, income, it's all irrelevant compared to what we have IN COMMON.

Also a note to some younger people, older generations don't like to "kitty" foot around, generally. Life has a habit of doing that to most.

United we Stand, divided we fall.
This is a perfect example of a young adult who has sought, received, and utilized the counsel of those who have gone before him.

There are several shining examples like this member whom have been observant as opposed to being attention whores.

You came here less than 3 weeks ago asking about buying a gun.

You didn't even have a clue.

You received a warm welcome and a lot of worthy responses.

Now all of a sudden you're an experienced and seasoned OC veteran capable of making a judgment of how I can or cannot perform???

Pat does have a point and its not just the youngs ones that jump in and start tossing things out before they should. I for one am one that did this and should not have. I been on so many different forums and it is to easy to become arrogant and tossing your say in right from the beginning.

Just as in first F2F meetings most are not so bullheaded and want to go head to head with the ones that have been doing it for awhile and know a hell of alot more than us. At first when Pat started saying things and commenting it seemed rather harsh and direct.....

Well it was and its easy to see why. After reading his posts and seeing the responses is when I realized myself what I was doing and why I should not be. I know very little compared to most here and to come in tossing info out and screaming about RIGHTS and how offended we become.

We must pave the road before we drive it.

Oh did some ones feelings get hurt, should we put Wardog in a time out...that is what they use for punishment now a days right.
Your just proving his point! when you read my comments you'll see just how silly your comments toward Wardog sound, and if they don't wait 20 years after you go thru what we all have, then you will see that your age is actually the easiest time of life kids are just making a mountain out of a mole hill, same as we all did at that age. It's called Life. learn it, live it, love it!.

Some thoughts on a lazy Sunday afternoon from an aged one.....

Sometimes I wonder if us old farts (and middle age farts too) look upon a youngster full of vigor, confidence, and enthusiasm,...... and sadly recognize that age, experience and hard knocks have whittled away at those wondrous things... and resent the young for being young.

Yes, youngsters are inexperienced and prone to let enthusiasm be the fuel for their interests, yet... weren't we all there at one time? Didn't we all have to fall on our arses all on our own despite well meaning advice?

Not to say that well meaning advice doesn't have it's place... or that youthful enthusiasm alone might result in set backs for the overall plan..... Yet:

Didn't we all have to be young and dumb before getting old and learning to be wise?

Seems to me a wise old man knows when to step aside trusting in the innate intelligence of the young and let the younguns screw up and learn lessons that will stay with them as they also become old and wise.

One thing us olduns... and not so old uns.... should be grateful for..... the young have taken up our standard and are marching forward for the cause.

On a personal note:

I don't know, simply can't count, the number of times I cautioned my own sons about something only to have them go do it anyway. I held my tongue as they went only to fall on their arse just as I said they would. And when they came back bruised I also held my tongue... helped them stand up again... brushed them off... and sent them out to fall on their arse again in a different place or different way.

And all that arse falling cost me in different ways yet, today, I am mightily proud of my sons for they are stronger and wiser for falling on their arses.

The text in the forum speaks for itself. The court cases posted in this forum are all listed by the younger generation. This in itself speaks volumes in regards to there thought process. I do not disgree nor apose any and all people that support the 2nd amendment and our right. If certain individuals cannot process the information provided by the membersof this forumwith far more experiance, then why bother. PS2,XBOX and Non belt wearing freaks need not apply.

Most of the court related threads in the forum that have been posted are so fouled up it takes 10-15 pages to get the truth from the incident. Even then the so called truth is nothing of such. Once court transcipts,FOIA's and other information is released we see the real truth.

"That is an excellent proposal. I agree wholeheartedly that he should be assisting."

"It is not my style to argue with children. It isn't adult like.

So you merely set up the Lansing fiasco? It went to hell all by itself?

I suppose next you'll blame Kimberguy.

Either you accept responsibility or you don't."

i notice that you A- seem to refuse to believe that the Lansing PD is responsible for the ponderosa fiasco. and B- you damn near ALWAYS keep a near confrontational tone with the young members of the forum especially lil_freak...whom noticed you are always trying to argue with him...you have not posted any real anti young people posts...BUT your general conversation and wording of posts clearly resonates your dislike for young members of OCDO...me being included in this group.

I dont make speeches. I state the facts. American Teens are the most stressed probably because they cant find the next cheat code for PS2 or XBOX or maybe its because they cant walk right with there pants around there ankles or maybe its because mommy made them do there home work before they can play there video games. Yay your here to stay! Until you get jacked up for some unkown level of stupidy. Then I am sure you will be on the forum as with the rest explaining how you did nothing wrong.....

I do not personaly believe any male at 18 or younger is a mature adult. Its not a matter of right its a matter of responsability.
