So MAC I am correct in that it IS legal to oc on County and City property? Any idea why Metro is allowed to continue the illegal signs on the front doors of EVERY cop shop that prohibit weapons and the County's continued "rules" against firearms in County parks? ...

Unlike Florida, our state preemption has no penalty clause.

Unlike Florida, our state preemption has no penalty clause.

A bark without bite then. Great.

I just drafted and sent the following letter to the Governor. I will also be sending it to the State Legislature and PLEASE, if ANY OF YOU agree, please do the same:

Mr. Governor,

Per NRS 268.418, ...
1. the Legislature reserves for itself such rights and powers as are necessary to regulate the transfer, sale, purchase, possession, ownership, transportation, registration and licensing of firearms and ammunition in Nevada, and no city may infringe upon those rights and powers...
2.  The governing body of a city may proscribe by ordinance or regulation the unsafe discharge of firearms.
3.  If the governing body of a city in a county whose population is 700,000 or more has required by ordinance or regulation adopted before June 13, 1989, the registration of a firearm capable of being concealed, the governing body shall amend such an ordinance or regulation to require:
(a) A period of at least 60 days of residency in the city before registration of such a firearm is required.
(b) A period of at least 72 hours for the registration of a pistol by a resident of the city upon transfer of title to the pistol to the resident by purchase, gift or any other transfer....

So, my questions are:
1. Why is Las Vegas Metro PD still being allowed to post and enforce their "No Weapons" signs on the front doors of every police station?
2. Why are Clark County and the City of Las Vegas still allowed to prohibit open carry of firearms in City and County Parks?
3. Can I expect the State Police (NHP) to protect me from being accosted should either of those entities send local police to enforce their illegal ordinances?
4. Can you please put a stop to these illegal actions by Clark County, City of Las Vegas and Las Vegas Metro PD?

The Pro 2A community is very concerned about these issues. We respect State law and OUR rights. We are preparing several open carry demonstrations (with media coverage) to bring attention to these illegal actions by local governments as they continue to violate State law. Perhaps action by your office could avoid all of that.

Thank you.

I OC'd to a breakfast joint called Jamms today. Oh my god, the corn beef hash was delicious!!! When I got to the counter I asked the lady if they offered military discounts. "I can do something for you....actually, I'm going to buy your breakfast today." I couldn't believe it!!! Such generosity from a complete stranger!!! I will definitely make sure to be spending most of my breakfast dollars at this place.

You may also want to include the under sheriff. and if you could post these people's email addresses I'd be more than happy to help. Ive actually been meaning to write a letter about my terrible experience at the metro station.

Remind your friends of other Americans that stood up for their rights, like. George Washington, Rosa Parks, John Paul Jones, Nathen Hale, Veterans...ect I'm sure you can come up with a nice long list of your own.

And maybe this quote:

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

There may be more as alot of it you had to send it from their website. Also, I DID NOT include Las Vegas Metro PD as they will do what they are told by their bosses. So that's who I went to. I did include NHP however.

PLEASE cut & paste all you want of anything I've included. Squeaky wheel....
With a list of emails like this and a bunch of letters coming in to all of them, something's bound to happen. But we need the numbers.

Maybe we should move this to it's own thread?

I suggest leaving it here and moving on until there's info on what happens when someone oc's to this event. This way there is some back story to the future posts about oc'ing at this upcoming event.

The letter I created and the contacts are there for anyone wanting them. I've nothing more to add.

An upcoming open carry event is in the works. We will be protesting the anti 2A protestors that are using the Sandy Hook tragedy (1 year since) as a soap box:

WHO: Moms Demand Action Nevada
WHEN: December 14, 2013 5:00 PM
WHERE: Hollywood Recreation Center
1650 E Hollywood Blvd
Las Vegas, NV 89142
It will not be in the building, that much is clear. Most likely the parking lot or the field.

http://www.nevadashooters.com/showthread.php?t=47971&page=7 are talking about showing up at 4PM to get organized. I don't know how many are willing to oc, but since I do 99% of the time, I know I am. Even if nothing comes of this, it'll be a nice night out for the armed wife and myself. Perhaps I'll see you there.

It's believed that MDA is being financially assisted by Dictator Bloomberg.

^^^^Help me out here. There are schools near by. Should I / we leave the gun at home?

Btw, the 1000 feet for a school zone gets violated everyday as I can't drive home without passing several schools en route.

More right than you might have known.

Read the following article to be better prepared for such events.

Preventing Gun Violence Through Effective Messaging” is the public relations guide for anti-gun lobbyists and advocates. The more accurate title would have been, “Anti-Gun Hate Speech for Beginners.”

Secretly produced in 2012 for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) lobby and its allies, it was recently discovered by gun rights supporters. The gun-ban talking points manual is filled with malicious lies about guns and gun owners, along with instructions for how the manual’s readers should disseminate those lies to the public.

IGNORE COMPLETELY the FGFSZA. It is unheard of in NV, and most "free" states.

The only thing to worry about is state laws, and depending on your mood to get dicked around by cops, you should pay attention to some of the county and city crap, too, especially at cop shops and parks not part of Henderson.

But the FGFSZA? Carry with pride!

Thanx! Am a little concerned only because this IS a Bloomberg-backed crowd of emotional, over zealous, active mothers WITH the press. So I figured they'd latch on to anything they can.

Here's an another idea I worked on today:

I'm making some pistol silhouettes out of plywood & painted black that should fit nicely in a holster. I thought I could say to those antis who ask about MY GUN in my holster, "Nope, mine's not real as this is a gun free zone just like Sandy Hook, Columbine & the theater thanks to folks like you. Those deaths are on you. I woulda armed 'em".

Wild West Guns, where OC is specifically welcomed by signage, again.

Went to Jerimy West's to check out some work he needs, and then he and I went to lunch at a nearby Capriatti's Sandwich shop. We were both OC'ing 1911s, cocked and locked. We saw a few "cowboys" already walking around for the season. None were visibly armed, of course. The sandwich shop (way south Las Vegas Blvd.) is advertised as veteran-owned, and they didn't mind a bit.

One couple, the girl being from Delaware, talked with us a bit. Jerimy had his shirt on, so they assumed we both worked at the gun shop.
