We're losing our country and it's hard to imagine that there are some Americans who not only don't care but support the loss. But then again, this is a whole other topic not suited for this thread or this forum.

Supper at the Tasty Cafe in Springfield Plaza. A little Chinese place. Paper plates, plastic spoons, that sort of thing. Sadly, the OC was lost on them. Nobody noticed. There was no one in the store and the counter staff disappeared to look at something on a TV or computer in the back office once I was served.

The staff, when present, were very friendly. Serving size was acceptable. The food, though fresh, wasquite blandin flavor. For eight dollars, I would like to have had better. I shan't be returning.

It matters to me also but this is anopen carry thread so I did not see how it mattered in that aspect. There is a time and a place for everything and as you already stated the topic is not suited for this thread or forum. Let's just let it die there, Kaiheitai17 thanks for the welcome to the forum.

If that's the one I think it is, I OC'd there once with no problems, other than a soccer mom trying to kill me with her minivan (not OC related).

I could care less whether or not you're white as long as you are an American in good standing.

You got that right SouthernBoy. It's not about racism. It's about what makes a country great. Third world countries are third world countries for a reason. And that reason is NOT race. If you abide by the principles that made this country great I don't care who you are.

Ileave my gun holstered and only unholster if I'm pulled over.

I tried using a second clip holster attached to my seat belt to hold my gun while I drive but that was a hassle.


If you choose to unholster while driving Isuggest re holstering prior to opening your door and exiting the vehicle.

In VA I know that if you carry a gun inside a vehicle, it must be plainly visible (people say on the passenger seat for example).

My question is this:

When you're driving somewhere while OCing, and park to get out and go inside a store or mall for example, how do you go about holstering the gun? Or is the gun already at your side while driving?

This is the one thing I've always wondered and I'm sure there's a simple answer someone will give

Actually, you may get lots of answers.

First, the plainly visible stricture only exists for those who don't have concealed handgun permits. If you have the permit, you are not bound by that.

I carry on my hip at all times. There are times I'm going in some place (like a Federal Government office) where I can't carry; I simply unholster in the parking lot and place the weapon in the safe. I may or may not remove the holster. I usually try to be discreet, but don't really care if someone sees, since I know I'm not doing anything wrong. The discreet part, frankly, is simply so I don't advertise that I'm leaving a firearm where a thief might want to try.

Best Buy for about half an hour on Rt. 1 in Potomac Yard. Not a second glance, no problems. Rocked out on Guitar Hero III for a couple songs, got my ass handed to me, and then left.

While grocery shopping these morning Ihad 3 people (1 woman , 2 men) give me the thumbs up while I strolled through Shoppers with my cart.

One of the guys stated "My wife won't let me get a CCW."
I told him you don't need a CHP to carry Openly , I handed him myyellow VCDLgun laws pocket card.

The other guy told me he occasionally OC's his Desert Eagle:shock:.
The Lady just smiled and gave me the thumbs up:celebrate.

Same here. A friend of mine always tells me that his wife won't let him keep a gun in the house. She's afraid the 3YO will see it. Don't be shocked when I say they live in MD.

I usually ask him if he pays rent since he isn't an owner of the house.

There has to be something terribly wrong with a man who says something like, "My wife won't let me get a CCW". The word part of this that really bothers me is, "won't let me".
