Is there any interest in a North Milwaukee OC meet and greet?

sorry, tried to get there, endured a 35 min traffic jam coming from the south, then called home to deal with brat kids. so much for my day.
Just glad to hear that you are okay as we were getting worried about ya. And I had my zombie Z.E.R.O. (Zombie Emergency Response Operations) on just for you :p.

For those of you not familiar with Milwaukee and are worried about the neighborhood, they don't really have Starbucks in the "core" and you're pretty much good to go as long as it isn't night :p.
And of course if MKEgal is there you're safe
OK, what is this cult of "Krysta makes us safe" that seems to be springing up??
You think that if the police show up they'll only arrest me?
Or I'm so intimidating that criminals will just throw themselves on the ground & pray for police to save them from me? [Yeah, right... me? intimidating?? HA!]

Well off the top of my head:

-Your better trained then I am.
-I'm sure your a better shot.
-You own more glocks then I do.
-You have more permits then I do (must mean something, the antis like permits)
-You have to admit any criminals would over look you as an immediate threat, the chances of most women being able to defend themselves is pretty low right now.
-I don't know if my sidearm even works ;)

And most importantly, I did see that look in your eyes in the concealed carry class when you wanted the blue gun to show off your mad skillz on opening a can of woopazz on a would be attacker :shocker:.

I can honestly state we are safer while in your company:cool:.

That's plan B :p

Hopefully by then she will have gotten her other glock back and we can be protected "Akimbo" style :dude:.

Oh, good grief. I do not have a G18, though I think it would be cool.
Go through lots of ammo very fast, and unlike the video game, you do eventually run out.
(As for carrying 2 pistols, at least it would balance out the pull on my belt.)

-You're better trained than I am.
Maybe. Dunno. We can compare on PM. I try not to get into measuring contests in public... aside from that one comment over on a JS article. (Gotta admit, it did kind of stop the "you're a tiny man" comments.)

-You have more permits than I do (must mean something, the antis like permits)
 LOL

- any criminals would overlook you as an immediate threat
True. Criminals aren't generally known for being smart, at least the low-level punks that would be in that area knocking off a Starbuck's.

-I'm sure you're a better shot.
If you don't practice, this is probably true.

-I don't know if my sidearm even works
:banghead: Get thee to a shooting range!
Even if you only shoot a box of ammo, then spend the next week cleaning & detailing the pistol so it looks new again, at least you'll know it's likely to work & how it handles.

I did see that look in your eyes in the concealed carry class when you wanted the blue gun to show off your mad skillz on opening a can of woopazz on a would be attacker
Mostly I was being silly, but he had said I could have a gun. [pout]

I can honestly state we are safer while in your company.
Safer w/ any armed citizen around, not just me.

Consider inviting Senator Taylor to your next meeting. I think you will find her an interesting person. She was chair of the Senate Judiciary committee - a position now held by Senator Galloway - in the last legislative session. She kept a lot of nutty anti-firearm legislation, like micro-stamping, from advancing. It sure will not hurt to establish and maintain communication with her.

What? What are you talking about???

My Senator, Taylor, INTRODUCED SB174 in 2010 (micro-stamping)!!!

She is about as anti-gun as you can get!

I'm not sure who you were thinking about, but it is not her...

I'm kinda confused as well. In Wednesdays JS it said that:

"all 19 Republicans and six Democrats, including Sen. Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee).

Taylor, who said she "understands the challenges of urban Wisconsin," claimed the bill wasn't perfect but it "creates a balance" with the right of the people to bear arms.

"It's a constitutional right," Taylor said. "I respect the fact that people have that right."

You aren't the only one. I had to TRIPLE check the article to make sure I read the name right. But my Sen, Carpenter, who sent me a couple letters stating how he supported conceal carry voted AGAINST the bill :banghead:. Looks like he'll be getting another email from me.

Well, the meet-n-greet @ 56th & Capitol will be smack in the district of Sen. Coggs & Rep. Toles (my unprintable unmentionable censored elected reps), & we may as well invite Taylor & Flynn & Clarke & Barrett.

Let's have a party!
Those who live in Milwaukee city/county, invite your elected reps to join us.
Let them see what normal, average, armed citizens look like.
I doubt any of them would show... maybe Taylor & Clarke, maybe.

I doubt Carpenter will show his face there after voting against the bill. It would be interesting to see if Taylor would tough. I'd like to ask her what changed her mind to vote for the bill after going on her rant

12-01. S. Public hearing held. 12-02. S. Senator Taylor withdrawn as a coauthor ...................

After hearing testimony at the public hearing as to what a crock micro-stamping is, she withdrew as a co-author. Her withdrawing herself after the public hearing says to me said she is not in lockstep with antis. Invite her to your meeting ask her why she introduced the legislation in the first place.

Go to the WAVE Facebook page. Jeri and the WAVEETTES are going ape sheet nuts over Senator Taylor's vote. She's going to get a campaign contribution from me, and she's going to know the reason why.

Sunday the 10th
Starbuck's
5610 W Capitol Dr.
Milwaukee, WI
53216
414 442-9603 (store phone)

From the south or west, I'd come 94 to 43N at the stadium, when the freeway runs out jog right / east to 43rd street, left / north on 43rd / Sherman to Capitol, then left a few blocks.

Great location. I can't wait.
We will be seen by a lot of people that I would guess are not used to the fact that we can open carry in the State. The city needs it bad.
If I had a working printer, I would run off a bunch of WCI stuff. I bet we could get a few new members if we keep hitting the big city.
Trust me, we will need WCI more then ever when we get CCW passed. After all Milwaukee is run by a self admitted felon (Flynn).
