Don't recall what you were carrying the last time we met, but I assume it must have been a 1911. My primary carry gun is a gen3 Glock 23 which I have modified a bit to fit my needs (mild modifications, mostly trigger work).

That hand cannon you have in your last photo.... Is that an SSK or a Thompson? I was at a range years ago when three guys showed up with single shot hand cannons and I could have sworn one of the guys with an SSK was shooting .338 Winchester in it. That thing was LOUD.

I was probably wearing the pictured 1911 in 460 Rowland...or a 44 Mag.

The Encore is a Thompson pro hunter barrel in 25-06. Yep...loud but it sure is accurate.

The top picture is Grapeshot's Purdy 45 ACP.

Well, I was sucked into the dark today, heard bells and chirping birds that lead me back to that gun shop where there was a gen4 Glock 22 and low and behold, I was forced.... forced, mind you to fill out copious amounts of forms wth questions, my arm was twisted into a pretzel (oh the humanity), and my plastic was ripped from my wallet in presentation of payment. I left that shop in horror and fear, disgust and anxiety..... oh, with a black plastic box in my possession, too. Said gen4 Glock 22 has found a new home.

Next up? Trijicon sights, a GlockParts.com 6 pound trigger spring, a Glock 3.5 connector (part #00135), and a thorough 25 cent polishing job with my Dremel and polishing cream. Of course, this all after my usual familiarization period, of course.

And that's the truth.

If you need help taming the potentially rabid beast after your best attempts to properly engage improvements in its behavior, please feel free to contact me.

I have a high rate of success with such critters, although it may take some time (months even) to teach it when to sit quietly and when it is permissible to speak. Can't have it jumping out of its kennel on its own, now can we?

She always has impressed me as being a real down to earth, plain spoken woman who keeps things in proper perspective. This just confirms it.
