Aha! Just as I suspected--way too much free time.

Would you please put some of that time into shaving them hairy legs or finding trousers instead of shorts!

Now that's just mean.

(BTW, I'm still laughing at that one.)

I might just have to attend the April meeting and sit next two both of you. :)

-SNIP- I always figured anyone tough enough to be running around in shorts when I have two pairs of long johns on and am still cold....didn't even need a gun!

You know I'm a pacifist.

BOT.. some what.
Why settle for pump or semi auto, have both: http://www.benelliusa.com/shotguns/benelli-m3.php

But, I must confuse I still love my Ithaca M37's, Win 1897's..... can you say slam fire boys and girls.

Have you checked VAGT? That would be my first stop before paying full retail for a new one.

Lol I always forget about that rule. Not on here regularly enough anymore. So in all fairness I will be sneaking a peak at the XDM in 45.

The wife just got the XDS (45ACP) as her EDC, what a nice shooting little gun.
I'm debating the XDM 5.25 in 45ACP as a host for a 460Rowland conversion.

Oh, no talking Long Guns. hehe...

Only in support of one of the local favorite FFL supplier of handguns.

Besides Tanner always looks at the handguns while he is there and he will be OCing during his visit no doubt.

No one is advocating OCing a long gun. - no don't go there. That would violate the forum rules.

Going to VCU for a jazz show after my visit to GT and other places to compare prices. And I'm not keen on leaving my handgun in the car. And I have to freshen up on if VCU has the same stipulations as the k-12 schools. I hate research!

Not the same rules/laws as K-12.

If the show is inside a building, then carry would subject you to tresspass laws. If held outside, then OC is legal - many times that has been done w/o incident.

No cite right now as I am trying to get out, into my truck and down the road.

I cannot believe nobody else has chimed in on this thread admitting that they too have modified the Glock extractor by heating it and giving it a twist with the reliable Glock armorer's pair o' pliers. I do this to every glock right after I perform the main (el supremo importante) task of installing some Birdman Homie Sights.

My faith in a fellow OCer has been vindicated  and a 1911 no less

Which make and model are you considering? Did you make a decision?

I might even be induced to donate some ammo to the break-in, reliability shoot :)

As much as it pains me to say this SB....I have a 21 and really like it:(

Yesterday, I started thinking about a gen4 Glock 22. I have a neighbor friend whom I helped buy his first centerfire handgun last fall and he purchased a gen4 Glock 17. Yesterday, I was handling his gun and it really felt nice. The gen4's have a different feel to their grips than the gen3's (I have a gen3 G17). It's not just the new rough texture, either, but rather to whole feel to the grip and pull length.

So this afternoon, I went by a small local gun shop and he had a new gen4 G22 in stock. I didn't buy it but was I tempted. I may check around again tomorrow and go ahead and get one. Never know.

There is a lot to not like about Glocks. Can't change grips, ugly, no safety, ugly, plastic, ugly.....

But they feed almost flawlessly and are reasonably accurately and the big reason I started carrying one in the burbs, they don't seem to scare people like real guns.

For a true combat handgun you just can't beat a 1911 and for an all around carry gun, a large bore revolver.
My wife has a 17 and is getting rid of it for a Smith 357.

I do have two 1911's, one in .45ACP and one in 9mm, and a fine large bore revolver, a Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum 5 1/2" barrel. Glocks are hard to beat for their designed purpose. Their ugliness actually makes them rather attractive. I admire their simplicity and reliability. I am not a fanboy for any gun manufacturer but I do admit to respecting something that works, works well, and is just flat reliable as a rock (are rocks reliable... must confess, I may have erred with that analogy).

Anyway. the gen4's impress me with their subtle changes. At first I was hesitant since I have a supply of gen3's, but what the hey. There is something there with the new gen4's.

Very Big Guns Save Lives (Purdy ones too)
......

Don't recall what you were carrying the last time we met, but I assume it must have been a 1911. My primary carry gun is a gen3 Glock 23 which I have modified a bit to fit my needs (mild modifications, mostly trigger work).

That hand cannon you have in your last photo.... Is that an SSK or a Thompson? I was at a range years ago when three guys showed up with single shot hand cannons and I could have sworn one of the guys with an SSK was shooting .338 Winchester in it. That thing was LOUD.
