I asked a couple of serious questions

Firstly, what would be said about any of us if we had made that video?

Secondly, at what exact point in the video did the interviewee "play" the interviewer the way the interviewer played the interviewee?

I'm not the one tearing up membership cards, I'm not the one calling for someone's head, yet I'm the one singled out. Is it because my questions are too difficult to be answered?

You were belaboring the point.....repeatedly and had been so advised.

I knew about this months ago! You all, including the original poster, need to chill.

This 'video' was nothing more than a character assassination of the first order. It puts Michael Moore's well-documented deceits to shame. Millions were spent on this effort by the usual gun-control suspects who enlisted every bit of psychological trickery known to man in a well-choreographed and staged hit. Katie Couric was an amateur, these latest culprits were not. It is no surprise that those of you who were caught off-guard took the bait hook, line and sinker.

None of the 'quotes' and other dialog can be trusted in this video as it is a rather simple manner to capture enough out-of-context footage and audio to make reasonable persons look like a fool. This type of disgraceful political warfare is the wave of the future, unfortunately.

If you are so fickle as to reject all the good that PVC and VCDL has done for gun rights then good riddance! I have been an OC.org member since 2007. But I never joined VCDL. UNTIL NOW! You seem to think great men are perfect, they are NOT. They are nontheless great men. And obviously greater than you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with teaching and training kids to handle a gun at an early age, with supervision of course. But that was not what Cohen was implying. Forgive PVC for being a bit "trusting" and naive, but do not demean his work or character!

The premise of teaching, or acquainting children with tools has been around for a lonnggg time. It prepares them for using those tools for their intended purpose in the future. There have been numerous incidents where children have defended their home with both bows, and firearms. It is highly unlikely they just learned how to use them in that very instant of time. I would hope that the a student at any age would be able to pick up a downed school resource officers gun rather than die. Kinda impossible if the child has no concept at all how a gun works.

The reaction we are seeing to this video is what the producers expected because our society has been tainted with politically correct lacking common sense. This video is a nothing burger to those with common sense, and not weighted down with the dogma the left, and media has fed them. It's no wonder that no longer are their commercials for easy bake ovens, that would be sexist, and the offended people, including some gun owners, would have a cow. The only mistake PVC made was the not anticipating the ignorance that is so pervasive in our society today.

The film is not the point. The decision/judgement to participate in the film in the first place is the point.

"You all" did not appear in the film, PVC did. Dismissing VCDL member concerns, out of hand and at this point is the height of arrogance. The damage is done and VCDL would be well advised to start cleaning up the mess.

Don't blame "You all" if snippets of the film are used in anti-gun political ads in Virginia.

I know what SBC/Showtime is and I would not give them the opportunity to do exactly what they did to PVC and his message. The reactions of VCDL members are important and should not be cavalierly dismissed.

PVC decided to work with SBC/Showtime. PVC should have know what to expect.

I will dig for more current stats, but it is clear in the news the increase in female crime since the feminist movement.

Have not watched the video, don't intend to. How about the cliff notes version?

If it has to do with teaching children firearms safety, and children leaning to shoot it is something that was normal in my youth. Would I have used a handgun to save my family at that age? Would you let them die?

PVC from what I understand was duped, that is a shame, but let's not go looking for a rope, and a tree. Lesson to learn is never trust the media.

Gun Owners are their own worst enemies in most cases. SO MANY, TOO WILLING TO EAT THEIR OWN.

However, I see no issue with hashing out differences/opinions as long as they remain civil.

This is a full on 10 minute segment of video, every second of which is the most agonizing cringeworthy fodder I've seen in recent memory, playing right into the hands of the enemy with zero couth or forethought. The fallout from this will likely permanently disrupt VCDL, both monetarily and in regards to new members and the effectiveness of the organization in reaching across the aisle. The chatter I've witnessed just in the past couple days is extremely negative, with many cancelling memberships. My leftist friends are having a field day with this. Very embarrassing.

For the record, I'm not a member of VCDL. I've thought about joining, but my thoughts don't quite align with theirs it seems. I am, however, a member of GOA, and I'm not too happy about that at this time either.
