For anyone interested, I did a short interview with Channel 12 today about the instructor killed by the young girl with the Uzi. Its due to air tonight at 5:30pm
Recall the other child who shot himself after his dad gave him an automatic firearm....
But I have no issue with teaching children how to use automatic weapons.
Good interview there ProShooter. Sounds like you covered the topic well.
ProShooter how long was the interview and did they cut anything out that you would have rather been shown
Nicely done Jim. You personify the Pro in ProActive Shooters.I guess we filmed for about 10-12 minutes. I wouldn't say that they cut anything substantial out. I gave her the info on the Code and the Mass. incident that she referenced, so it wasn't me saying it on camera per se, but she had the info nonetheless. She did ask a bit more about automatic weapons being legal, etc....not really anything that would have added to the story.
The young girl was right handed - firing from the right side.Nicely done. I would have had some difficulty not talking about what the instructor did wrong, how he put himself in the line of 'climb' by standing next to and to the left of a lefty. He should have had a controlling hand on the firearm, one on top, one on her elbow, much like a pro-golfer will do when showing how to putt.
Why not put the selector on short burst (is there a three shot setting? if not there should be.
