With all do respect guys and I hope you all know I truly mean that, leave this stuff at MGO. I think for the most part it is a good site with good people and good information. There are exceptions to this rule, obviously, but let us leave the vitriol on those boards. I don't think I could take it if these boards ended up looking anything like those.

This talk of invasions and what not serves us no good. With all do respect to MGO and it's members, we're better than that. At least we have been since I've been here.

This guy arguing about CCW vs. CPL and what notz, yeesh, I mean really, we don't move and close threads at will like TOS does, but we sure as heck can avoid feeding the trollz and let the threads/trolls die on their own lack of merit. At the risk of sounding cliche', let us not bring ourselves down to the same level.

It looks to me as if they've closed the "Open Carry Discussion" topic. That's sort of like banning open carry to increase the level of safety. I just don't understand the "fix the symptom, not the problem" mentality.

They restricted it to members only. Strange. I used to be able to browse it without logging in... I wonder what prompted that decision.

I would have done that too... they are having problems with a few older members showing their underwear so to speak... It does seem to be leveling off over there... I just wish some people would realize that we get their position and it doesn't need to be posted in every thread in such a nasty fashion.

I understand that you guys get pretty defensive, but you need to take the message out to other folks, and politely is the way to do it.

MGO has a GUN forum, not just dedicated to OC as this site is. You will get the whole specturm of gun owners, not people that are dedicated to OC. Although, the OC forums see their share of trolls, and I've seen at least two true anti gun people.

Maintain your cool, stay polite, you have a better chance if you think about your audience.

And, I'm one of the "older" members. Maybe I haven't been on MGO that long, but I'm on the old side of average.

:)
