I had dinner out at Holidays in Ann Arbor last night with 15 other gun nuts. Tonight I was at Abbot school for a meeting about the changes to Jackson Rd. I was one of the youngest there.

OC'd to taco bell on my lunch break from work the audio is quite rampant with noise from everything except our conversation so theres no audio for this one. While I finished placing my order I had a gentleman who looked to be about my age (25 or so) ask if I was a LEO or if I just had my CPL, I told him I was just a law abiding citizen exercising my rights. We spoke for a few minutes about carrying, open carry, and your rights as a citizen when it comes to LE and carrying. He mentioned seeing youtube videos about people OCing and speaking to the police and asserting their rights and then being let go. He said he was considering getting his CPL and carrying, he seemed quite interested in the information that I gave him and he said he learned alot already from just our short conversation so I handed out him an MOC trifold for him to read over.

This all took place while Taco Bell was pretty busy, there was even a woman and her two daughters standing to my weak side while I waited for my order that had to have clearly heard me talking about it. And I cant imagine they didnt look at me when I turned strong side to them to say goodbye to the gentleman I had been talking to. A couple people in the store seemed to eaves drop and listen to what I was saying, I noticed one of the employees watching me as I spoke. But no one ran away screaming, hiding, or crying, even when it was made obvious I was carrying by the conversation I was having.

I told the gentleman I spoke to that OC brings gun ownership out of the closet because he said hes never seen anyone open carry. I told him that if I had been CC this conversation never would have happened and he agreed and seemed happy that we had the chance to talk about it. Great kid, hope he gets his CPL and starts OCing.

Do you recall a cashier at Walmart talking to you one evening about your OC'ing (in a favorable manner) a bit ago?

enjoyed a couple hour OC stroll around the beautiful city of birmingham with my wife this evening. she hadn't been there before so we walked around the downtown and visited shain park. then we ate at a little restaraunt i would highly recommend. a touch of india http://touchofindiacuisine.com/
as we walked out of shain park toward the restaurant a police cruiser passed us on my strong side, but it was just pulling into the police department parking lot, not sure if they noticed my sidearm. after dinner as we walked back to the parking deck, i approached a guy in a bill murray tshirt (from the website thechive). i greeted him with a friendly "chive on" and he said, "oh, hey, you too, man" or something to that effect. he asked for directions to somewhere i didn't know and we parted ways. no mention/notice of gun, but i'm sure i put him at ease with my greeting.

OC'd to Kohls on a few times recently, not a word said, yesterday however I went to return a shirt I purchased (it was a large and fit like a small after being washed) and to buy a new pair of shoes...while I was paying for my items the young lady at the register asked if I work with the police department. I told her I did not, that I'm just exercising my rights and she replied with "ok, I can dig it" she seemed to find me OCing my pistol as a rather positive sight. Other than that nothing else happened.

Going to be stopping up there probably tomorrow night as well to use my $10 Kohls cash thing they gave me, they've got some decent deals going on right now.

I was at Geddies pond walking the dog, last night. I had the worst reaction to the dog then my carry. Of course I do not speak Arabic, there were 3 or 4 at the park playing...

Tonight I went to Kroger, the farmers market and Miejers.... nada...

Open Carry in TC.

OC'd Cherry Festival, TART and Leelanau Trails. No one cared.
I am not sure about what you said about "no one cared". There was a hysterical woman on WTCM this morning freaking out about a man open carrying around town. Probably, you.
