So now that hubby(Vitaeus) and I both have our own pistols, I have started OCing more often. Stopped into the Albertsons in Bremerton on my way home last Thursday, did my shopping and left without any trouble. Did get a few funny looks from some old timers though. Almost felt like they were thinking "well, she's too round to be a cop, too old to be a gang member, wonder what she is?" LoL

Seeking Information....

I am new to this Forum. I open carry often and heard there are groups who meet up at different places and outdoor activities to excercise our second amendment right. I wanted to learn more and maybe join a group. looking for a point of contact.

Welcome to OCDO. There are a few that live In Kitsap, keep your eye on the forum. There is a regular coffee bitch session the 2nd Saturday of every month in Federal Way. And this weekend is the WAC gun show where we will have a table, you are welcome to stop by....

Curious Kid at Target

The Wife and I went into town. I was OC in Target and got a few stares but for the most part people didn't pay me much attention... except for the young associate in Electronics. As the wife and I walked by he noticed my firearm and asked us if we needed any help finding anything? I noticed he glanced down again at my pistol. We said we were ok and continued on... The kid gave me a few more stares and came from around the counter and followed us over to the movie section. Very polite young fellow... I guess he was curious about my firearm. all in all...a good day.

Thanks for the update I can't remember the last time I was OC in target I guess I don't go in there as often as I use too, I don't like the new layout after the last remodel. Good to know you and your wife had no issues

I had a pretty good open carry day yesterday it started with a trip to Bainbridge to handle some family matters. I never like open carrying on Bainbridge the police seem to feel as if they are in a country separate from the rest of the country and can make up their own laws but I had no problems. I made a trip to the chevron gas station then into Safeway with out any problems.

Later that night or should I say early the next morning around 3:30am I went into central market in Poulsbo for one of their pre made and wrapped burritos with rice for dinner. I was bored so I casually walked the store browsing with my gun out in the open. I finally decided I did not need anything and purchased my burrito and a coke. I am a regular this time of night and know most all of the night crew so I made small talk with the cashier for a few minutes as he rang me up. No problems as always in central market as I walked away the cashier told me to have a good night and it was nice seeing me again

1911er, your sig

The US Supreme Court has ruled that you have the right under the First Amendment to protest Military funerals...... I invite you to start your protest in my front yard and we will see if your First Amendment is better than my SECOND Amendment.....

1911, I respect your sig and support your right to take that position. However, I respectfully request that you consider a slightly different perspective on the S. Ct. ruling.

I strongly endorse the right of citizens to exercise their 1Am rights. I have done so (curiously enough, by exercising my 2Am rights). I believe that supporters of the constitution can protest the END RESULTS of war (i.e., unnecessary deaths of our young men and women), all without that protest being disrespectful to the noble sacrifices made by those young men and women in defense of you and me and the rest of our country.

I personally have been arrested and prosecuted for using the 2Am to protect 1Am rights (got convicted by a railroading judge, too! Then got the elephant-sh*t conviction reversed and dismissed on appeal citing unconstitutional application of the relevant Washington statutes). BECAUSE I am such a staunch supporter of 2Am, I refused a "deferred disposition" offered by the persecutor (who genuinely, but wrongly, thought he was giving me a "deal") in order to punctuate the fact that my actions were legal and guaranteed by Art. I , section 27 of the Washington State Constitution and the U.S. Constitution Amend. II. I submit that it is my DUTY to protect ALL those rights and not allow them to be eroded by Napoleonic-leaning little persecutors simply because I MIGHT get convicted of alleged violations of statutory law.

Yes, this is a 2Am forum. And I protect 2Am rights (obviously, I am a member, here). But I caution you that supporting only one right may result in that support being at at the expense of other rights. We need the ENTIRE Bill of Rights to protect and defend the ENTIRE Bill of Rights.

It is the rights guaranteed by the 1Am that allow us to meet on this forum and to use those rights to ensure continued guarantee of our 2Am rights.

Enjoy this sunny day!

WTF does treason have to do with OC( paragraph 3 line 7(article 1 sec. 27)

Don't get me wrong I also support the 1st amend. But when someone shows up at A funeral (which is A time of mourning for family and friends of someone that died supporting our rights) and they start belittling what that person has done it makes my blood boil and the fact that most of the protestors have not got the gonads to enlist really chaps my a*%

Yes. I agree. Belittling a fallen hero is absolutely wrong and doing so at the fallen soldier's funeral is despicable. Other forums exist where our displeasure with political decisions may be heard.

To get this train back on the tracks....

Haven't been OCing much since I became employed once again, I work and then am lazy at home, but I get out there every once in a while

*March 31st*
Wholesale Sports Silverdale

Browsed for a few hours. Not that great of prices here but I love looking around, even if I'm not going to buy. Wound up buying some supplies to start reloading here soon. No weird looks, though being in that store there never are. Had a guy let me know that I should hit up the WAC gun show for the reloading supplies as they're a lot cheaper so I may have to check that out sometime. Not sure if the price difference for the amount I need will be worth the entry fee, though. I don't get go out shooting much lately.

Big 5 Port Orchard

Lady wanted another pair of shoes so we went out. No funny looks or complaints. Stopped over at the gun counter to look at the .22s. Always looking at that GsG5 but now that I know about the actual HK Umarex MP5 in .22, I'll be saving up for that one instead. I just love the MP5.

Walgreens Port Orchard

Had to grab a few things. Again, no weird looks. I forgot how little this town has bothered me about OCing.

I heard two different MWAG calls on the scanner yesterday afternoon. The first was waving his around and threatening someone, the other I never heard the details.

I hear at least one MWAG call every other day or so, for the couple hours I'm listening to the scanner, so the calls are common enough. Seldom do I hear a call that I would think, "Hey, that might be one of us" as most are more like 'Fool with a Gun' types of calls. The other common call is "Firearms Violation" which seems to be someone shooting where they're not supposed to be shooting. I expect there will be more of those now that the range is closed.

Yeah, there's not really anywhere in Kitsap to go shooting anymore. I've been thinking of going out to the DNR land but with how the trails are setup it's hard to even find a place that follows the rules for recreational shooting.

So on those MWAG calls, how many are over in the Port Orchard area? I've only ever seen one other person carrying in Port orchard besides my two friends that I got into OCing and I was meeting up with him to get pamphlets.

Took a trip out to Port Orchard and Belfair today. Many years ago you could shoot on all DNR/State Land and forests. Apparently that is not the case anymore, as Tahuya is a no target practice forest, but you can still hunt there...ugh!

Anyways, Deros, Squeak and I had lunch at Jimmy D's in Belfair and then did a little shooting at Squeaks place....my new Kel-Tec Sub 2000 shoots awesome!
