Great thread, I carry whenever I'm in Spokane (Live up North about an hour) and I'll update regularly. Would be nice to get to know some of you guys IRL, other than one gentleman who works at the Shadle Wal-Mart I haven't done a whole lot of socialization among the 'bretheren'. :)

Hacker,

If you can make the trip next Saturday, meet us at the donut parade at 9 AM. We would love to welcome a new face.

Open carried to the airport tonight to pick up my son and his family. We were in the airport for 45 minutes or so, no problems. I had one guy at the baggage pick up that got really wide eyed and never took his eyes off of me until we got the luggage and left. On the way out we passed about 3 feet in front of him strong side to him and I simply smiled and said hello, he did not respond.

I know Orphan already claimed this one, but I was in the Deer Park Yokes a few weeks ago as well, OCing my Kimber 1911. The kid at the checkout counter asked if I was in the Armed Forces, when I answered in the negative he asked if I felt more secure carrying. Seemed pretty laid back about it.

I bet the Lance Corporal back there (that's a LC, right? I'm not a Marine) got some free drinks.

Good for him. Hahaha.

Corporal almost SGT, no free drinks that I know of but when he flys in uniform he never gets charged luggage fees for him or his family, that is my son BTW.

BTW 2 stripes + crossed rifles = Corporal, 1 stripe + crosses rifles = Lance Corporal, I was not a Marine either but I have had to learn. Tjhe SGT stripes are even worse to interpert I guess I will have to learn that next, LOL

OC'd this past Saturday.

hair cut at Weldon Barber. no problem

Shell gas station on argonne to get ice for the coolers. no problem. did get asked if I was a cop by another patron. Nope, just an ordinary guy. "oh, thats cool" then proceeded to ask if I knew the laws on mirrors. guy didn't have a rear view mirror....

sharp shooting, concealed there, because I remember reading about them haggling other members about OCing(yet they oc in their store)

longhorn bbq to pick up lunch. no problem.

then went camping for the rest of the long weekend up at Reeder Bay, Priest Lake. OC'd in the camp site a majority of the weekend, and CC'd at the wooden boat show.

At the picnic I got several "Are you law enforcement?" inquiries followed by brief explanations of why I carry, bot no negative feedback.

Thought I might find you here :D. Was there as well, I graduated with your wife. Had several people come up to me and ask what the deal was. I just asked "what deal". Should have introduced myself. Just joined the Forum today though.

Went to Pacific Hide & Fur for 1/2 inch pipe for a home project

Harbor Freight was next as I was tying down a new compressor I think the guy in the next parking stall was calling 911 on me. He was very upset and kept glaring at me and talking on the phone. I just left when I was done securing the compressor. I thought he was going to follow me but he decided not to at the last minute,

Next we went to Staples and spent an hour on their computer designing a new business card, interacted with several employees, no comments. Cool new business cards though.

Banner bank for a deposit and home

Actually guys, the feller I saw was armed with what I took to be a Smith and Wesson 9mm. I sure as heck know a 1911 when I see one, and it was not a .45 auto.
I overheard the guy talking the lady behind the checkout counter about going shooting later on that day.

The hunt for the unicorn continues....

This is great!!! I was not talking to the check out person about shooting so that means someone else is OCing in Deer Park.

I spent about 5 hours at the fair in Spokane today. I was in all of the animal barns, exhibit halls,up and down the food rows over by the farm equipment and the train. I stopped and chatted to the Spokane Deputy Sheriff about the new jail site they are trying to get and he never mentioned my gun, but my wife says he definatly noticed it. I also chatted for a while with a guy hawking health insurance for seniors, he said it made him glad to see someone OC, as that is his picture of freedom. He got a pamphlet and some advice.

Other than that, it was quite uneventful. Just a typical trip to the fair. Overpriced food and people trying to get your name for future marketing attempts.

WSP is there with cars and stuff but I didn't make it back there.

All in all, a great day to OC at the fair.

Nice. I do not go to the fair personally because i have two teen-aged boys that would bankrupt me upon entry.:uhoh:

But I wouldn't mind myself some funnel cake.

9/11/10 Albertson's on 57th and Regal. No one said anything but this one lady had a weird look on her face everytime I saw her (maybe her face just looks like that??) Anyways a sheriff rolled through just as I was backing out but nothing else... Short talk with the teens on how to operate the recorder just in case they are closer to it.

Edited: Hmm I was just thinking.. I had one 15 yr old riding in the cart being pushed by her best friend.. Maybe that's what the look was about... I just kept thinking (sheesh) if this is the worst trouble I can get out of these two.. I'll take it!

I go there at least once a week, always oc, and have only had two comments from employees. One doesn't count because i know him but one time a checker said wow I've never seen any one carry like that before. Defiantly get funny looks all the time though! Were you the one that called me out by OZ fitness? Sorry I know I met you at the picnic but him bad with names.

Oced with my new baby girl Kimber for the first time today! We went to Shopko to get a bday gift for my twin nephews and had no issues. After that we went to walmart, super busy, no comments or issues. Stopped by northtown mall to pay my wifes Victoria Secret bill no excitement there, unless you count my blood pressure when I saw the bill :banghead:, because I CCed due to mall policy :banghead:.

On a side note I finally got a BUG! Carried it for the first time today! Ruger LCP OD green and black!!!
