Wait beebobby, let me fix it for you.....These FEDERAL clowns are engaging in exactly the opposite of what they claim to be engaging in. Many contingents of 'the people' (locals) want the land in question managed exactly the way it's being managed; it is the 'will of the people'. Yet, a small group of armed, out of state buffoons (FEDERALES) have deemed themselves the ultimate arbiters of justice on this issue, despite calls to leave from the local sheriff and residents of the nearby town

the local sheriff is in cahoots with those nice federal agents or he would have told the feds to abide by the Constitution etc., as the WY sheriffs did:

quote: sheriffs in Wyoming are demanding that federal agents actually abide by the Constitution, or face arrest. Even better, a U.S. Federal District Court agreed. unquote.

perhaps he doesn't need elected a another term??

The Sheriff was appointed by a judge and used to work for BLM.

FUQ-"David Ward was appointed the new Harney County Sheriff and took his oath of office on January 2, 2015. He will serve out the remainder of Sheriff Dave Glerup’s term until the next general election in November 2016."

You violate OCDO (private property) Forum Rules and then claim censorship? Really? Then add insult.

Perhaps you need to give it a rest....voluntarily. Your choice.

Well at least you were decent enough to respond. Something small to be thankful for. As for the rules, I can respond only generally as the post in question was removed.

I've spent multiple posts quoting the law at both state and Constitution level providing evidence that my beliefs and suggested actions are indeed legal and constitutional. This may be private property but I think the powers than be have enough decency to explain themselves. Right now it looks like the very same behavior Facebook uses to control people. The right exists but there is such a thing as exercising a right responsibly. For example one could stuff a handgun in his pocket and carry quite legally. Doesn't mean he should and it's the same thing.

Now are we going to be civil and discuss this?

The post in question has not been removed, just restricted from public view. Unfortunate that you do not recall your own post.

One does not have a right to post here - it is a granted privilege. Words have meaning - when you chose the wrong words/response, OCDO administration/moderators have the absolute right to take action.

That you chose to make it a public and off topic debate while continuing to insult is a larger problem. Best advice is to accept the guidance.

Plus this forum is good enough to generally give warnings, forgiveness, and explications when asked.

There is another forum I was kicked off of years ago and they still will not answer as to why, nor have I been re-instated there per their rules.

So, I have much respect for this forum, even if I do not always agree with Grapeshot.

As it is, no crimes were committed save the murder of LaVoy. Those responsible for the ambush and assassination will be held accountable if the rest of you "patriots" get behind the Constitution and put your money where your mouth is.

On another message board, there are a couple of people who believe the Bundy group are guilty of treason. I disagree.

Nevermind the mental gymnastics it took these people to get there, but from what I've read, treason is a pretty high bar. The Rosenbergs weren't charged with treason, neither was McVeigh or his cohorts.

Could we just fund some serious education reform here? More people get Darwin Awards than white people get Oscars! (bad metric, I know; it's just a joke)

The leading education reformers are the homeschoolers that largely teach anti-government extremism. The heart of the issue is tyranny in all of its guises. This emperor has no clothes and to suggest so is extremism prima facie .
Why don't you expand on this statement?

You might have a relevant and coherent thought pattern for once.

It is not just anti government people that homeschool, many people do not feel their children are safe in public schools, and cannot afford private education. I was lucky my parents could afford private school, but then it was a lot more reasonable back then. And it was limited to Catholics, and church had to be attended everyday but Saturday. Also catechism was required study. These standards are no longer used in Catholic schools, but the tuition is usually well over 5 grand a year. I never knew what my parents paid, but I would guess around 500 dollars a year back from 1960 to 1969.

While I know there are home schoolers who teach anti-government extremism (both as you define it here and real extremism), none of the home schoolers I know do either. Indeed, most teach and inculcate a strong reverence for and understanding of the US Constitution and our form of government.

In the past, most homeschoolers did so for religious reasons: to avoid graphic sexual education or having organic, cross-species evolution taught as fact and proof of no God.

Today, I believe most homeschoolers are simply looking for an academically rigorous education, free from the growing social ills in schools: the clinicization of boyhood, the inane "zero tolerance" policies, the inability to combat bullying, rank and extreme environmentalism and feminism taught as gospel truths. The growing number of parents moving children to public charter schools or private schools (often with various publicly funded vouchers), I think supports the thesis that most who avoid or flee the now union-controlled regular public schools are not so much anti-government, as just pro-education. And in too many cases, the union-run schools are just failing miserably at real education.

The amount of people who send their kids to private schools in Hawaii and who also live around the poverty level astounds me. The reason public education (socialized schooling) sucks ***.

over the last 9 years NC lottery has raised $4 Billion dollars here is how our legislature has seen fit to spend it:

beneficiary-pie.jpg

almost 60% for undefined 'support personnel'

my county has received $ 49M and the report shows for 52 positions 2.9M was spent; only 1.3M was spent on construction; spent 365K towards 345 scholarships.

http://www.nc-educationlottery.org/beneficiary.aspx#

we are ranked 77th out of the 100 NC counties.

it is no wonder caregivers are home educating their charges...

It would appear that the OP of this thread has run it's course.

The discussion of public schools v. private schools v. home schooling is a topic for the Social Lounge not General Discussion.

I know some folks who have gone to this area. Apparently the feds and state thugs wearing blue costumes are pulling over and harassing without any PC a multitude of individuals.

Guess they thought they could murder someone and no one would care if they did it.

I've never been given explanations. Just censored. I've given up now. I'll carry on as normal, knowing at some point i'll commit too many 'crimes' and be banned. I have so little faith and trust in the system, I actually don't care anymore.
