I won't give money but if there's anything you would be willing to sell I'd be happy to look at it and if it's something I'm interested in I'll offer you a fair price.

Dude, can you at least attempt to not derail every thread you post in. I imagine more than a couple of us are sick of hearing your position on dope and dope dealers. Go find a hemp or weed forum to post in and save us your pro-drug rhetoric, this is an open carry firearm forum.

I agree with this, stainless encourages to much stupidity, not that I am claiming to be perfect but come one man, you hit the nail on the head scott

Can we make this more about helping someone in need, and less about any perceived mistakes someone else might have made?

I wish I was in a position to help Wally out, but I've been out of work myself for 4 weeks now. The only money we have coming in, are the checks my wife gets for being on disability. And that BARELY covers our expenses. As it stands now, I'll likely end up calling my sister to see if she can help out this next week with food.

So I know exactly where Wally is coming from, and I would not wish that position on my worst enemy.

My hope now is, that when I see the surgeon on Tuesday he'll let me go back to work. So keep your fingers crossed for me. :)

We not if you are in prison due to get out, you get instant SSI disability even if you never contributed a penny. I was shocked to find out this is a little known fact of the State of Michigan to prevent repeat offenders. It doesn't prevent anything but continues today. I confirmed this with a couple of turn keys I know and a young man who is in prison for assaulting a Meth dealer who was doing his wife in his bed when he came home from work. He will also be on SSI when he is released, he was already told this.

The State has a no comment defense for this when it is thrown in their face. So if you contribute all your life into Social Security you are last on the list if even on it when you get disabled. I been going through this for over 4 years now fighting to get what I worked and had money taken out of my check for the last 36 years. Even though it is confirmed I have massive nerve damage throughout my body by EMG tests, also confirmed I suffered Guillain-Barré syndrom after a near fatal blood infection in 2006, and I am also suffering from Fibromyalgia. I was refused because and I will quote the letter of refusals two reasons.

1. we believe James can lift a half gallon of milk
2. we believe James can get odd jobs

No kidding that was on the refusal letter. the only two reasons. So good luck getting social security if you are in that unprotected class { white male always employed} prior to being disabled. I know a friend who was and is in a wheel chair that fought for just over four years to get his disability.

Had I not been some weirdo that never used change for the last 40 years and inserted it in cans and bottles I would have been homeless by now. Last year according to my bank where I took the change and converted into money in those change counting machines I brought in just over 7 grand in change. In one day I brought in just over 1500 dollars which bought my Icom 735 Amateur radio and things I needed. Nothing like the look on their faces when you bring in 1500 dollars in quarters....

Face it the system is corrupt.

No, I am not eligible for unemployment benefits. And the States Disability, SSI income has to have a 5 month waiting period to be able to receive benefits, Then it isn't that much even. And I think the person that is disabled is the one that payed for the benefits, Back in there working days.

And I have many reasons to get my CPL, But I lost my job and unable to afford it now. And if I am able to find some help to fund my CPL, I WILL obtain my CPL.

The whole system is screwed up, whether it is SSI, Welfare, or other government programs. Those that truly need the assistance and paid into the system over the years are the last on the list to get anything. But those that never paid into the system get their hand out first. Also in Michigan there is no cap on how long an able body person can receive the handouts. Every time I look at my pay stub I get sick looking at how much comes out of my check to in turn go to someone too lazy to work.

Sometimes, that's the only recourse left. But frankly, I'd rather cut off my left leg, than have to beg someone. It would be less painful.

The worst part, is when you go to pickup your kids from school, on the last day before Christmas vacation, and the principle comes out and gives boxes and bags with gifts of clothing and toys and games for your children. All you can do is say "Thank you," and try not to break down into tears in front of your kids. At that point, I'd rather die. But you can't, so you carry on as best you can.

or you could try harder and supply a good live for your family.
I have been unemployed before and I understand times are tough but there is always a way to make money.

if you just quit and say im going on welfare that is just pathetic
