Last year DID turn out great, when everything is kept in perspective.
We got caught at the last minute with only about a week to do this thing. Everybody pulled together and put on a pretty decent STATE level rally to which the official attendance count was around 200. We had a few political candidates who spoke, as well as a couple of experts, including Dave Workman and Gray Peterson. We collected a BUTT load of signatures on several worthy initiatives and we did it all without any help whatsoever from the people at the national level.
Personally, I'm proud of every one of us who worked on that one. It was a tremendous and fully successful effort.
This year we have a great deal more time to plan and execute, so the expectations are a bit higher, mainly for attendance. We have a few more things that are being looked at that didn't quite come off last year due to the late notice, such as the flag ceremony. Otherwise, if we do as well as last year, but with increased attendance, I'll be satisfied.
