It sounds like you are a tad frustrated with the laws. ;-)

Wait until you find out that your government is selling guns (illegally) to drug cartels and local gangs to bolster their gun grabbing schemes! That is exactly what happened in the USA and they are dragging their feet in its investigation. Shocker!

At some point you come to the conclusion that these people aren't simply useful idiots that are over zealous for a wrongful cause but are simply evil.

And remember as Sir Edmund Burke said, "All that it takes for evil to suceed is for good men to do nothing."!

Hi Mate. I know exactly what they, (someone in some government agency), have done and are still doing. There have been a few firearms which were handed in during the ban, buy back turned up after being used in criminal activity. Remember the massacer in Tasmaina. Well when any one dies in unusual circumstances in Australia the law states that a coroners inquest be held. Nothing was done after the Port Arthur massacer. Reason given as to why? The government stated that they did not want to drag the few survivers through an inquest because they have been upset enough. Even though some wanted to give evidence, but were refused to be heard? In the aftermath of the Port Arthur massacre, government went to great lengths to ignore or suppress all evidence suggesting that the official story of the day was unsubstantiated rubbish.

Yet, when four, yes "4" sailers died on board the Westralia incident / accident, a coronial inquiry was set up immediately to determin the cause of death.

CANADIAN backpacker gang raped three times and robbed of all posessions.

I have said this several times on this board. If you come to Australia where firearms are banned, and armed self defence is illegal, you do so at your own risk. Criminals who have been enabled by these laws abound! Haz.

A CANADIAN backpacker has been left traumatised after allegedly being gang raped in Broome on Wednesday morning.

Agnes Violet Oliver, 18, and Earvin Jared Hensley Dimer, 18, both of Broome, appeared in Broome Magistrate’s Court this morning charged with aggravated robbery and three counts of aggravated sexual penetration without consent.

Police say the 22-year-old victim had only arrived in Broome 10 days ago and was walking home after leaving Murphy’s Irish Pub about 1am when she became disorientated.

It will be alleged she was approached by Ms Oliver with a broken bottle, who threatened to kill her if she did not hand over her handbag.

Bikie's son shot twice during home invasion at Semaphore

Emily Watkins and Nigel Hunt From: Sunday Mail (SA) October 01, 2011 10:40PM

POLICE are worried Fink Mark Sandery could take revenge after armed thugs shot his 11-year-old son.

The notorious bikie's son was sleeping in the front bedroom of a Semaphore federation-style villa when the intruders burst in and fired two shots through the doorway - both bullets hitting him in the leg.

Neighbours called police after hearing screams from the house but when they arrived, they found only blood and a number of occupants who refused to say what had happened.

The Sunday Mail understands nobody from the house called police or an ambulance for the boy, who was driven to Queen Elizabeth Hospital's emergency department by a parent.

It was the hospital that called police to report a boy had been shot.

Superintendent Howard Davies, of Western Adelaide Police, said Sandery - a senior member of the Finks - was not home at the time and people from the house were refusing to co-operate with police.

AN EXTREMIST Islamic group suspected of planning a crime spree across Sydney.

We all suspect it shouldn't be too hard for them seeing the Australian population has been dissarmed! The drug barons, pedlers, users, louts, home invaders, and all outlaw gangs engaged in any and all type of criminal activity are having a field day! Haz.

AN EXTREMIST Islamic group suspected of planning a crime spree across Sydney to raise money for the Taliban has been uncovered by counter-terrorism police.

The Sunday Telegraph October 02, 2011 12:00AM

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that NSW Police and national security agencies have been investigating the group members for over a year, with the case currently active.

The extremists have been the subject of a top secret operation led by the NSW Police Force, ASIO, Australian Federal Police and the NSW Crime Commission.

A group of men, aged between 20 and 30, all Australian citizens of Middle Eastern-descent, have been identified as the core members.

Police believe the men, who have been under detailed surveillance, have been planning a series of elaborate criminal enterprises to raise significant sums of cash.

Major crime investigators from Brisbane flown to Cairns after four sex attacks in 19 days
by: Kate Higgins and Matt Howard From: The Courier-Mail October 05, 2011 3:00AM

MAJOR crime investigators from Brisbane have flown to Cairns to deal with concerns the tourist centre is becoming a sex predators' hunting ground.

There have been four sex attacks in just 19 days. Police believe the perpetrators live locally.

CCTV images were released yesterday of a man wanted for questioning over the latest attack, on a 27-year-old woman from Estonia, who was dragged into bushland and assaulted at knifepoint. She had been walking along The Esplanade after 1am.

The woman broke free after struggling against her attacker, who attempted to sexually assault her.

Other recent victims include a 15-year-old girl, a woman attacked by a home invader, another who was knocked unconscious while bushwalking, and several gropings.

AN Adelaide woman has been robbed at gunpoint.

Leaving doors unlocked since the firearms ban is very risky these days as the following shows. Similarly, being robbed at gunpoint by criminals wielding guns after a total firearms ban and $500.000.000 buy back shows banning guns is a total waste of time!

VIOLENT schoolyard attacks have marred the start of Term 4.

Since the firearms and knife ban crime is ever on the increase, and now also in our schools. Haz.

**********************************

More than 100 suspensions handed out every school day for physical misconduct.

"Opposition education spokesman Bruce Flegg said there had been a rising knife culture and the Government's approach to school violence - including setting up the Queensland Schools Alliance Against Violence last year after a school murder - was inadequate.

In April, Education Minister Cameron Dick told his department to review its weapons policy after another school stabbing."

GROWING outlaw bikie clubs own sub-machineguns.

Proof beyond doubt that banning firearms does not get firearms out of criminals hands. All the firearm ban has done Down Under is dissarm law abiding citizens. Readers comments are worth reading! The people are begining to wake up that something's wrong. Haz.

GROWING outlaw bikie clubs own sub-machineguns, traffic in illicit drugs and use counter-surveillance equipment.

Victoria Police have seized more than 50 weapons and drugs and cash during more than 52 raids on properties since February.

Alarmingly, a mini sub-machinegun, a pistol with a silencer, assault rifles, Tasers and ballistic vests are among the items seized.

Armed robber receives big cut to sentence.

Q. Why would an armed drug addict whilst on Methamphetamine and convicted of 15 armed robberies, on appeal recieve a greatly reduced sentence?
A. Because the original sentence was; "unjustifiably disproportionate and so infringed the principle of parity."

Your Honor, as our firearms were unjustifiably and disproportionately removed from us, thereby infringing the principle of parity, because we, the law abiding sporting shooters and firearms owners of Australia were in fact not involved in the Port Arthur massacre, neither were we involved in any other firearms related crime, may we use your learned ruling / judgment, in having our firearms immediately returned?

Armed robber receives big cut to sentence.

by: Shannon Deery From: Herald Sun October 08, 2011 12:00AM

A WOMAN who terrorised pokies venues in a spate of armed crimes with her husband has won a big cut to her sentence.

Methamphetamine addict Raylene Sarvak, 30, last year was sentenced to 11 years' jail with a non-parole period of eight for her part in a western suburbs rampage netting more than $16,000.

But yesterday a judge ordered she be eligible for release in less than five years.

Sarvak and her now former husband Antony Szarvak left their four young children at home with babysitters when they terrorised staff at five pokies venues.

They were convicted of 15 armed robbery-related charges as they hit the Glengala Hotel in Sunshine West, St Albans Sports Club, Deer Park Hotel, the Rifle Range Hotel in Williamstown, and Yarraville's Victoria On Hyde Hotel to feed drug and gambling habits.

They wore disguises and abused and threatened staff at gunpoint.

Busy, bloody night for Perth police
Laura Tomlinson October 09, 2011 6:45PM.

TWO vicious glassings in Northbridge, the pursuit of a stolen vehicle, a car that smashed into a house, a terrifying vehicle rollover and a series of robberies meant a busy weekend shift for metropolitan police.

The first glassing attack, at Northbridge's The Euro Bar, has left a 23-year-old Beckenham man with cuts to his face.

Police were called to The Euro Bar, in Aberdeen Street, at around 1.45am on Sunday morning after reports the victim had been hit in the face with a glass.

A MAN is robbing shops on the Gold Coast armed with a blood-filled syringe, police say.

The man struck two shops on Monday, including the attempted robbery of a bakery in Palm Beach at the south end of the Gold Coast, and two others over past four days.
Detective Sergeant Michael Bolin told journalists the suspect was in his 50s or 60s and had a wrinkly appearance and tanned skin.
Det Sgt Bolin said the crimes appeared to be drug related and offered advice for Gold Coast shopowners.
"If they are approached by this person don't try to disarm him and do what is asked of him and report the matter to police as soon as possible with the best description you can," he told reporters.

MACHETES, shanks, knives, hammers and screwdrivers.

Hows this for a distorted view on self defence down under. Dont arm hospital security guards because armed security guards may upset the armed criminals in hospital and this would only inflame tensions and increase the likelihood of violence.

Concern over weapons in hospitals
by: Jessica Craven From: Herald Sun October 11, 2011 12:00AM.

MACHETES, shanks, knives, hammers and screwdrivers are regularly taken into hospital emergency departments.

But the security industry has rejected the idea of armed guards, arguing they would only inflame tension and increase the likelihood of violence.

A parliamentary inquiry into security at the state's hospitals also heard security staff at The Alfred hospital physically restrain four patients a day on average, with a third of them requiring shackles.

Spotless project manager Jennifer Nicholson, who runs security at The Alfred, said the increase in violence and aggression was in line with an increase in patients.

Dang, she was shot twice in the hand. I wonder if she was struggling with the shooter trying to get the gun pointed away from her. I have two daughters so I have no mercy on someone that would hurt them.

When are the next elections down-under? This insanity has to be stopped. I can't imagine that anti-gun candidates are going to win the publics vote after all that keeps happening.
