ROFL!

Although, the problem does seem independent of provider or phone type...

Yeah, but our errors are different. You guys both have iPhones. See, android has built in functionality that allows other things to keep working when only one is malfunctioning. :p:lol: I kid, I kid.

The errors definitely happen trying to use participated topics in either case though so It's got to be forum compatibility issues.

Pretty close, it's Wausau according to his profile. :D That's "up nort" (yes it's meant to be spelled that way). I'm 10 miles from anything and can get U.S. Cell or Verizon. Actually going to be switching back to U.S. cell here pretty soon when they get 4G devices.

What do you need with 4G?

Was asking what you planned on using it for.

4G is nice when it works. But there comes the problem that the things that would really benefit from it, do so because of file size. Meaning that if you watch a lot of videos like on Youtube or something. You may find yourself running into the cap fairly quickly. Especially so if you plan on tethering it to your computer.

10,188,111[SUP]KB[/SUP] That's my usage for the month(3 days left). I don't download anything, just surf the web and watch Youtube videos. Those Youtube videos add up fast. My usage would be a lot higher if I got 4G in my area and it was reliable(4G is unreliable in Austin).

I see.

Yeah, right now I'm unlimited and when I bother to root my phone again will use it to tether once in a great while. Actually, most of my reason for deciding to dump VZW and once again go to USCellular is I have a work phone and a personal phone. I'm hoping to dump my personal one and go only to the work phone since I use it for that most of the time anyway. I just don't want to do it until 4G is available. I don't think the cap is limited on a business account? Also, USCellular has a little better service in the area and will roam on VZW towers anyway. VZW doesn't seem to like to roam on USCellular towers for some reason.

Do they never use USC towers or just don't like to?

I kind of want to root my phone. But at the same time, I'm really hesitant. I'd love to be able to force roaming at times. But Sprint doesn't like that, so you have to root. But again, I'm hesitant as I don't want to lose my insurance.

They HATE to and when they do, they don't get 3g, only 1x. My phone will stick to a VZW tower with no bars while I'm standing 5 ft away from a U.S.Cellular tower. No really, I've tried it; my friend has one on his property. I read somewhere that VZW is allowed to roam on some USCellular towers but not with 3G but USCellular can roam on all VZW towers with 3G. Not sure if it's true, but it seems about right. Cell carrier roaming is somewhat of an enigma.

Rooting is WELL worth it, especially when you start to get sick of your phone because it will keep you from buying a new one. Don't worry about the insurance, it sucks donkey balls anyway. Total scam IMHO. I canceled mine after they wanted me to pay a $100 deductible for a re-manufactured droid 1. Instead, I bought a month old Droid X2 from craigslist for $250 and am happy as a lark. You can always unroot and flash back to factory as the factory file is out there for most phones. Pretty sure the insurance doesn't care anyway.
