So I found myself in the Spokane General Store again on Saturday. Having OC in there numerous times without incident.
Was over at the ammo counter talking with a friend when a lady came in to return a pair of binoculars. We ended up having a short discussion, in which she was VERY friendly. Was laughing and joking and asking questions. Turned out she was from Canada so she of course was surprised to see a hand gun and we talked on that matter for a little while before I left.
Turns out, as soon as I left she complained to someone in the store about a man with a gun and none of the General Store employees doing anything about it. So they asked for me to be told that any time I come back in, to just pull my shirt over my firearm. Which for a store that sells ammo, hunting gear, and used to sell a ton of guns themselves (which they are trying to get started again) is hypocritical (much like Sharpshooting).
Despite the fact they have no idea if I have a CPL or not or the potential legality issues, I am not much a fan of being told to pull my shirt over my holster and it wouldn't change a whole lot considering I carry in a Serpa with a Sig P226 and pulling my t-shirt over the holster isn't going to cover more than half of it, and I am going to have a HUGE tumor looking thing as well.
So despite the fun things in the General Store, the nice people and so on, I guess my business there is about done.
