What a great day, I would say the picnic was a huge success, especially for the wife who is in the other room fondling her new 1911. Way cool.

At the latest UNOFFICIAL count, we had around 75 - 80 attending. I want to thank each of you that took the time to be there to support open carry, and especially Ajetpilot for reserving the shelter, Deros72 for the gun giveaway, M1Gunnr for his part with Mary's pistols for the give away.
When I first arrived, a small group had already setup in our area. I advised them that we had it reserved and they would have to go else where. A BIT upset they moved to another location, asking why we did not go to the gun range. A couple hours later the man came back and apologized profusely. All in all it worked out for the best for everyone.

Also squeak was not allowed to board the kitsap live steamer train, although Tom Brewster was able to ride in the afternoon

Great job guys I'd say huge success. Nice to see all the families there. Great to meet some new people and touch base with some acquaintances. Jealous someone else won the pistol, but oh well there is always next year I hope.

Seriously? I found out about this event at 630 this evening... I'm new to Washington and to oc in public. This would have been great to meet others in the area. Oh well... Glad everything went well and am looking forward to running into some of y'all around the Poulsbo, Silverdale, Port Orchard area.

Welcome to the forum.
The 3rd Saturday of each month is the local get together at the Hideaway cafe in Port Orchard at 1200. Look for Firesupressor on the forum. He is in Poulsbo, along with Amlevin and a couple others.
Feel free to post your own meet up. Easy to do, pick a day time and location and post it on here. Do not ask for suggestions as it will never happen. Just do it and they will come.

Awesome first OC experience (in Washington) for me and a great event. Thank you to all those that organised, procured edibles, gave time, and stuff for the giveaway. I had to jet shortly after the giveaway since I had to hussle off to work, and forgot to grab a blank petition sheet. If someone has some and can bring one to the Hideaway meet I would appreciate it.

Thanks Dave for the great picture. You got both my wife and myself in this picture. The only trouble is now people will say “hey look Hotlead’s wife finally got that old Coot out to a gathering in Port Orchard”.

It was a nice day and good to see so many. I wanted to thank whoever donated all the items for the WAGuns.ORG give away and Thanks to Deros for donating such a beautiful pistol. Too bad I didn't win, but as my wife said "glad it was a woman who won it." I'm very sure the machete that I won will come in very handy around here. Thanks again to everyone who showed up.

Not to try and sound repetitive but I had a great time at the picnic and I did want to tank everyone for their time and effort to make it all possible. I showed up and 10:30 thinking I was going to be early and I was amazed at what I saw. We had the party going early at 10:30 when I got there and when I left at 2 it was still going. I have been to some of our other open carry picnics but I have never seen the level of enthusiasm before as I saw yesterday. It is always nice to see some of the old familiar faces and it is always nice to meet a few new ones. I did feel a little guilty with a few people when I asked what their forum name was. I drew a blank on a few names but knew exactly who they where and what they have posted biased off of what their avatars are. It was also nice to meet a few other gun toting citizens from the Poulsbo area. It is are to see anyone else open carry in the area it is nice to know even if we ma not run into each other there are others out there. Thank you all again for making the picnic even possible
