The fact is, there is more at stake than one man's rights. And he is messing with mine, and I take offense at that. I really don't care who's scared and who's not. I carry regardless of whether somebody is scared. But I don't paint the tip of my AK orange so I can pretend it's a toy and take a stroll through the park and then act surprised, shocked, and offended when somebody freaks out. I know it's gonna happen. He knew it was gonna happen. You know it's gonna happen. It's like jumping off a 10 story building then acting surprised that there's a sudden stop at the bottom.
There's a not-so-fine line between being an advocate, and being a zealot. You and Lenny have both crossed that line, and I am trying to encourage you both to come back over. The orange tip has been proven to be a non-point. If you are blatantly stupid enough to think that a orange tip would stop a LEO or another individual from being attentive or alert as to what an individual is doing with said "orange tip", then you simply haven't been paying attention whatsoever over the course of these threads as well as this incident. Is this not the same argument that those who believe solely in Concealed Carry throw at Open Carriers? That you're somehow "ruining our rights", or are otherwise on a course to do so? Some of you (especially YOU) are incapable of viewing the larger picture. YES open carry is a movement. YES it is supportive of the 2nd Amendment. It however is NOT, all inclusive of what the 2nd Amendment means. If you cannot support the larger picture for which your purported movement claims to exist, and cling to the ideology that people MUST carry and act as you do, then I am sorry, but the FACT is that you are not a true supporter of the RTKBA. Period. If you believe solely in the ability to carry as YOU see fit, then you are not concerned about the rights of the man to your right or left. PERIOD.

While you sit here, high and mighty, and completely full of yourself, please note the following:
#1.) I will not ever berate your carry weapon of choice.
#2.) I don't care if you have a purple pistol, or a red rifle. Maybe a magenta machine-gun? I won't berate you for such.
#3.) I will not attempt to incriminate your carry method so long as you do not brandish.
#4.) I will not alienate a large portion of my demographic by claiming that only those with suits and bowties may represent my rights. I believe in equality.
#5.) It is SHAMEFUL that those in California are forced to carry around an expensive paperweight! However, in that deeply, and irrationally hoplophobic society, just having it on your hip is THE SCARIEST THING EVER. Don't believe me? Watch one of your cohorts be aggressively directed to a wall, while an officer with an AR15 provides cover from around the corner.
You are as of right now, a walking contradiction. If you truly fear for the perception of your own individual rights, maybe you should curl up in a corner, and hope that nobody else "misrepresents you" by acting in a wholly lawful, and legal manner.
