My license was sitting right next to yours over the weekend. #933. When I worked at 1 E Main Str Friday mail pickup was around 2:30-3pm.

If you have been issued a license but not received it. Then respond to a police officer "No I Do not have a CCW" and they run your DL# against the list and it shows a CCW License. How much leeway does the system have for that sort of thing? I understand the chance of that is fairly small but it could possibly happen.

The database that holds CCL information is supposed to be a separate database that the LEO would need to intentionally go into and search as opposed to running your license to see if it is valid, whether you have warrants, etc.

Right. And they cannot access such information through your DL or the DMV/DOT. However, your DL# will be used as a indentifier when LEO's call in to the DOJ when you don't have a CWL on you. Or when you do have your CWL on you and they can cross reference the DL# that you have with the one on record at the DOJ to make sure that CWL is infact yours.

11/6 is Sunday, are they working 7 days a week?

on another site some is saying his permit is in the 2200's

Only 17,800 more to go to clear the first rush! My dad put his in the mail on the seventh....he's going to be waiting i think.

We were waiting for his Utah to come back, looks like if the emergency rules were changed earlier we could have just used the copy of the Utah training , sucks he was with us in Madison. Oh well, seeing him open carry for the first time was cool .

A friend from Waupaca mailed his on 1 Nov and received his permission slip today. He used a CO Hunters Ed Card as proof of training. #2107

It appears they are well on their way into the stack that was received by mail on 2 Nov. If 10K were received and at the rate they are going, somebody with a real bad luck of the draw from that day could take another 4 wks or thereabouts.

That's probably me. But it is fun coming home every day wondering what's in the mailbox. Hell, I even grab the mail and don't even peek until I'm in the house to see what's in the day's stack. *sigh*

If You Have Not Received a License

How would you know that it's been issued? Why would a LEO ask if you have a license if you are not carrying?
