...Did see a guy in all black with a hoody had a sign saying only coward’s carry guns. He was at Maryland Parkway and Flamingo SouthEast corner. He had his sign facing the northbound traffic. Could not see the rest of what it was saying. ...

Just there? Any context that I'm missing? I don't think I've ever heard of some guy just standing on a street corner with an anti-gun sign before for his own private rally. Weird.

I OC'd most of my working day yesterday. My first stop was a USPSA guy from the Nevada Shooters forum, so I was carrying my usual Kimber 1911. Landry's Seafood is OC friendly, and my buddy and I go to their bar area often. I transitioned to my XDS for the rest of the day, as I was working where I needed more comfort as I crawled around. Many of my clients don't care, but I only OC when I know that ahead of time. The next two were established clients, and included the Alaskan patriarch of the Wild West Guns stores. He never commented on it for me to get around to telling him it was one of the many I've bought at his store!

Only seen one guy with two large signs. One sign standing on its own he was carrying the other. Very busy corner lost of pedestrians however I believe he was a lone protester. Was not able to read the whole sign so not sure of his agenda. I have seen one other residual Zimmerman protester wearing a hoodie with the same wording of only cowards carry guns. Making a guess based on what little info my thoughts lean toward a possible Zimmerman issue activist.

Xmas Eve - I OC'd at a car dealership in Sahara , then to a Filipino restaurant named "Kusina Ni Lorraine" by Simmons and Ann Rd. LEO was inside eating, greeted everyone inside a "Merry Christmas" as he stood up to pay the cashier. Not even a second look.
Went to 215/Decatur Walmart, no issues. I was asked by a customer the type of belt I was wearing to keep the side arm from sagging.

OC'd today at Destination XL, Men's Warehouse, the Galleria Mall, K-mart, Sears, Goodwill store, Salvation Army store, Savers, and Outback steakhouse all in Henderson. The only issue I had was at the Galleria Mall. I was approached by 2 rent a cops and was asked to leave after spending over 45 minutes inside. The guard got kinda uppity after I told him "the sign bears no weight of law in Nevada but I will comply as I do not want to be tresspassed". They followed my wife and I as we walked out and I looked for about 3 minutes before I saw the sign with the mall rules next to the door. I had honestly never seen it before.

Was anyone on here leaving K-mart on Sunset tonight about 6:15pm in a blue dodge truck? If so, I came out right behind you. Nice sidearm. ;) Didn't want to stop him as it was dark in the parking lot and I didn't want to look like a creeper. haha.

Overall it was a great day for OC in Henderson.

I was ran out of there last year after years of it not being an issue. Three unarmed guards were straight forward about saying whichever company that owned the mall did not allow firearms. I said ok it is all about recognizing one rights however the Mall refuses tor recognize the 2nd amendment and let your manager know gun owners will not support such.

FYI - Years ago I was assigned to the Galleria Mall (GM) security staff. Unless there has been some change in policy OC isn't allowed at the GM. Firearms are not permitted on mall property. There are signs posted at the GM entrances to that effect.

The policy while I was assigned there was to stop, notify and escort the OC person with their firearms to their vehicle and allow that person to continuing shopping without a firearm. While I worked security there I never had to do this but that's the policy of mall ownership. I strongly suspect that you were just "unnoticed" by the security staff on duty for approximately 45 minutes.

Without providing any proprietary information about the security staffing I can tell you this. When you were approached by the security staff they were following protocols that have been long established for individuals with firearms. And yes, you did see the signs that firearms are not permitted at the GM. BTW, it is standard procedure to escort an individual OC'ing a firearm on GM property. When a firearm is involved, the GM has very strict policies in place.

Please don't blame the security staff for being somewhat difficult with your OC contact. The security staff is run by a retired Henderson police officer. He runs the security staff like a miniature police department. Having gone through the certification process, and it's a pain to be certified as a GM security officer, it's a difficult property to work. The security staff is highly scrutinized by supervisors. The average security guard has at least one security supervisor looking over his/her shoulder. If we did something wrong we face evaluations for not doing our job in accordance with GM policy.

Just thought I'd add my comments as one of the former security staff at the Galleria Mall.

If you're read my recent post about the Galleria Mall's firearm policy you know some background on that property. The GM is owned by a corporation that does not allow firearms on their properties. I know it's a violation of the 2A but it is private property. The anti-firearms policy is in effect at all the properties owned by the GM.

As a group we really need to stop saying this. A private party is not in violation of the 2nd or the bill of rights. They just dont agree with it.

NO, STEVE, as a group we need to learn there are no private property rights in America. period.

there are no guarantees of property in the constitution. a business is subject to the licenses that is issued it and the laws of where it operates. just try telling the fire dept. it can't inspect you , or the health dept.. or try to keep out protected weaker groups

when an individual discrimanates against a constitutional right. they are taking away your civil rights. right now the law says they can do this. but it is not right to do so.

as long as we as a group allow this to go on it will get worse

Went out for a hike at Anniversary Mines and the narrows off North Shore Rd in Lake Mead rec area.

A lot of people out - I assume because it's the start of the year and everyone has made resolutions to get more active/fit.

Went as expected; no one batted an eye, all smiles, waves and small talk along the trail.

Also oc'd while I hung signs at the strip mall our church uses, and to get some food at the Papa Johns on Boulder and Nellis with no issues other than a bum not liking that I wouldn't get out of my vehicle until he moved on down the way.

I'm back in town. I OC'd throughout my hunting trip while traveling through AZ and NM. Texas was a PITA, having to cover up every time I got out of the truck or left private property. Since being back, I've been OC'ing again, especially at one of my new favorite haunts, Landry's Seafood bar.

Not only is concealing a PITA in Texas, but I wasn't supposed to have a beer with lunch while doing it. Oops. Glad to be back in NV!

We had a vendor come to my work today. In the process of getting him a visitors pass to come on base, I noticed he had a CCW permit in his wallet. I asked him what he carried and we talked for a minutes about all of his guns. He asked what I carried so I told him I OC my xdm. His response was "Oh, I don't have the cojones to open carry"
