I was gonna ask where that came from....

I got my "No Guns = No $" card done, too. I'll bring both cards along so I can get some input on them from everyone.

And please be careful tomorrow out on the roads. It's gonna be a messy weather day. Drive safely.

I'll head out that way once I'm done work. I probably won't get there till 8:30ish at the earliest. Don't worry about holding a seat for my or anything though. I'll be the lanky guy in khaki's, dark blue stripped shirt & glasses (oh yeah, big ears too:lol:) I doubt I'll have any trouble spotting you guys.;)

I strapped on the Sig this morningto try it out and it was a no-go. All I have are "normal" belts and so the gun was making my pants sag on one side. Looks like I need a decent belt. Any suggestions? Preferably something black and plain.

Heh! What's your budget? I really dislike Instructor Belts because they're just flat ugly and *scream* utility belt -- I generally interact with college instructors and professors, so I'm usually dressed fairly well.

This is what I wear daily, whether or not I carry.

It's basically a regular belt with a second belt sewn into it -- on the loop-side of the belt, the second piece is tapered down; however, it can be a tight fit for a SERPA if you use the belt attachment, but the paddle attachment (which I'm become very fond of), works like a champ.

"Real" leather holsters would probably be fine as they have a bit of flex to them.

OK, guys. I'm done w/ work, and heading out. Barring a sheet of ice on the roads, I'll see you all at 8:00 at IHOP. I'll be the one w/ jeans, boots, green jacket, glasses, really short hair... and my XD/SERPA on my right hip.

See you there!

Sorry guys, I couldn't wait for the Prom, tonight. I had to pop my cherry before I met up with you all. Ijusam and I OC'd into Ruby Tuesday's on Limestone Road for lunch. Uneventful, maybe a few brief looks, but we were in our business attire and if there were looks, I didn't see anyone :what:. I was a lil' nervous since I'vestarted my CCDW paperwork. I sure would hate to get illegally arrested at this point and jeapordize my license but, what the hell...

See you all tonight!

Well guys, I'll be running an errand right before meeting you all.

And I have a "surprise" for you tonight... my fiancee told me a little while ago that she'd like to join us, so she'll be coming along to keep order at the table! LOL.. Just kidding. But she'll be "packing" her XD-9 subbie, although she doesn't have her SERPA yet (just my cheap nylon holster), for the FIRST time!

My fiancee OC'ing with me: priceless. :celebrate

(Never mind that she's a much better shot than I am)...

Once again, it was a pleasure seeing you all there -- I think it's great that we've gone from 5 people from the first gathering to 12!

Once Dave put's up the #3 Get-Together thread, we can start hashing out details for that. I'd love to do the dinner AND a range morning on some Saturday so I can get my gun AND my pancake fix. ;)

It was a great pleasure seeing/meeting everyone tonight!! I had a great time listening to what everyone had to say. There were some good stories, that's for sure!

It's always greatto see a bunch of people who share a common bond get together and share stories/thoughts/questions with each other. Add to that the comeraderie, food, and laughs, and it was an awesome time! Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us!

It was cool that we got the same waitress as the last time, too.

My fiancee had a great time, and felt very comfortable and "at home" with everyone. She said everyone was nice and she looks forward to the next "meeting." Hopefully she'll be joining the forum soon (although she has been a "virtual" member by living through my posts. LOL).

My fiancee said that when we went up to the cashier, a woman was trying to get up there, too, and saw everyone w/ guns on. The woman asked my fiancee "Are youa detective?" to which my fiance answers "I'm not." LOL... The woman had admitted that she was afraid of guns. Other than that, I'm not aware of anyone else even noticing or caring....

Again, thanks for a fun time and for coming out to our meeting!! Hopefully this will keep "snowballing" and we'll keep growing in numbers....

If you all could do me a favor and take a look at the cards I passed out, I'd like to get your opinions on what to change, or add, or delete, to make them worthy cards for passing out to the public in order to educate them on OC (or to tell them they've lost our business, depending on which card it is). Thanks!!

I'll be starting the "Get-together #3" thread in a minute....

[Update: I just sent IHOP Corporate a "letter" of praise (via their website feedback form) for their great handling of our group. I thanked them for being "pro-2nd Amendment" and for wanting us to come back again. Hopefully, like last time, they'll forward my comments to the local franchise owner and manager.]

It was nice to see everyone. I had a good time, too. I'd be happy to make a crock of chilli if you'd like to hit Ommeladen or some other get together. I look forward to seeing you all again.
