It was funny... but I bet he did not intend it to be.

A hat tip to you, Sir.

I wear a gentleman's hat, not a gd cap, as an opportunity to honor an acquaintance met. I'm trying to think of a way to cause the association of a hat (not a gd cap) with an armed citizen. An armed society is a polite society' and a hat is an opportunity to be polite and to show politeness and respect.

The same back at you.

I to wear a hat...every day...not a cap (unless I am shooting and a cap does work better with hearing protection.)

I generally work in an office and I have a hat that goes with each one of my suits. I do have one hat, in fact I wore it today, that is not exactly a gentleman's hat.(It is called the gambler and I bought it at the Smithbilt hat factory in Calgary Canada, but it is close.)

The rest are a classic Fedora, most of which I bought at Miller Hats in Houston Texas.

When I go out in the field, I wear a Stetson Fedora. If you look close at my Avatar, that is me on the top of that mud volcano, in Nevada, wearing my Fedora.
