I slapped together this little vid of this adorable little boy and his perception of an OC'er having lunch at a Wendy's. It's entertaining at first but also presents the brainwashed image of firearms the media has created.

Where did this audio recording happen? I want to know where i have to argue with little kids about my gun.

It would seem that way.

With any quality manufactured modern firearm in usable condition it is safe, and very important, to carry with the firearm ready to go. My M&P was designed with no manual safeties

I to have a M&P. My safety is my finger. Protect the trigger, and you will have no problems...

People get the fear that a gun is going to "just fire on its own", which in reality it will not. You can take most all newer aged, and older aged for that matter, hand guns and throw them against the wall and they wont go off. You put your finger on that trigger and pull it, and it will. Its a crazy reality that some people don't understand all that well...

If I don't have time to rack the slide overhand, I'm probably dead anyway. This is the same reason I use a safety and refuse to buy a gun without one (i.e. a Glock). I'd rather risk my own life than have a preventable accident that takes the life of another.

I looked up that video, and sure enough, he is/was using the holster incorrectly. When I draw, my index finger is extended straight down that channel, which lines up perfectly with where my safety is, which I will obviously need to disengage to fire.

I could come up with thousands of scenarios where you wouldn't have time to chamber a round, but here is one:

You are in a confrontation (argument) with someone. He doesn't appear to be armed, but the situation is nothing more than a loud conversation. Remember, you are less than a foot away from this guy. All of a sudden, he snaps, and is coming at you with a knife he grabbed from his pocket. You have no cover, no concealment, and no round in the pipe to keep you from dying. This man would be stabbing you while you were TRYING to rack the slide on your firearm, which I doubt you could do while getting stabbed.

I will never carry a gun without a round in the chamber, and I will carry my Glock the rest of my life this way; safety is between your ears, not some special feature on your firearm. The Glock is completely safe until the trigger is pressed, just like any other modern firearm.

In the above situation you are dead if you go for your gun, while you are drawing your assailant is stabbing. Your hands need to be punching and attempting to get the knife, or kicking the knees backward of the assailant. No one should ever let another person get that close to them, they lose the moment they do. Besides if you are an active participant in the argument you will have legal problems once you shoot in many states.
