I was thinking, we should use 1 & 2 dollar bills! That's the 1st Amendment and the 2nd Amendment!

The 2nd gets most of the attention but remember, it's the 1st that's the keystone of the Constitution!

You can't have one and not the other, It's all or nothing!

Starbucks open carry

I contacted Starbucks about their open carry policy and was informed that they go with local and state laws and ALLOW OPEN CARRY in their restaurants so long as it is legal in that state. They also said they appreciate the input from the open carry community , so lets drop them a note thanking them and let them know we will use their business more knowing their stand on the subject it can only get better when other businesses see the business they could be getting . I hope this helps knowing what their stand is and if you encounter any problems you can contact them and get the problem resolved quickly .

My email to starbuck today:

Dear Starbucks,

Thank you for upholding my second amendment right to keep and bear arms. I buy coffee from your fine business on a daily basis. Others would have you believe that I am a psycho gun nut just itching to pull out my weapon and lay waste to everyone in sight. However I would like to point out that I am a veteran, I did a tour during operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield. I have had training with firearms since I was a kid. I have held a job at a nuclear power plant as an NSO, I was required to carry a weapon in that position.

I choose to carry a weapon on a daily basis to exercise my rights under the second amendment to our constitution and to defend myself or others if the need ever arises. Others think that this is an unnecessary risk and they want bans preventing people from legally carrying firearms. I only have this to say about that. If the good guys have their rights infringed and are not allowed to carry firearms, then only the bad guys will carry firearms.

Sincerely,

Michael Randleman

I've been listening to armed American radio, and through listening I learned that this group that is boycotting Starbucks has less than 200 members!! 200 people get mainstream media attention, yet 90,000,000 + don't? Do you all realize how bias and politically motivated the mainstream networks are? We can't listen to any of the lies they spew at us! On a good note, I've been visiting Starbucks here in Ashland, Ky, paying with nothing but $2 bills, and have found they have excellent hot chocolate and rice crispie treats. I don't believe 200 people will have much affect on the Starbucks chain, other than raising their fiscal income.

But they said "Monte Carlo simulations"! That means it must be relevant!

I'm thinking that I spend more $ on starbucks for the wife than I do for gas in my 10 second focus each week. She frequents that place and I often find myself lured into putting more money on her starbucks gold card online by her looks and bedroom threats.... Giggety:rolleyes:. I will continue to support starbucks so long as they continue to support OC!

I used to just do drive thru whenever I stopped at Starbucks. But recently, I make an effort to actually go in and excercise my 2A right. Last week I walked into the Starbucks on Kietzke in Reno. A gentleman standy by the counter said "An armed society is a polite society", and smiled. We had a great conversation while waiting for my drinks. I love my coffee with guns!

I doubt Starbucks is going to change their policy regardless of what group supports or does not support their position. Now if they would just start a 2A punch card that would be great.

"Buy 10 drinks while open carrying get the eleventh free!" Now that would showing 2A support!

Now that is an idea I would support! As often as I am there picking up coffee for my sister, I would be getting free drinks every other week.

I spent 30 dollars for friends and family at Starbucks last night. That was 6 drinks and some desserts. I could use a free drink, but I already get one with my Gold Card.

Also thought my eyes were decieveing me! Still really fast for a Focus. So as to be on topic, If I had 10 sec Focus I would oc my 1911 to Starbucks. Since I don't have a Focus and no longer have a 1911 I have to cc my lc9 in my Compass. Until I get another 1911, but, not a Focus.

I will agree that the 1st Amendment covers more rights in one, but without the 2nd, none of them has any enforceability.

I still believe that all of the Amendments in the Bill Of Rights that protect the American Citizen are equally important. 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th & 10th. Please read at http://usconstitution.net/const.html#Amends
