Carried yesterday to HOBO on 27th near Chase Bankaround 3PM, place was packed. People with their kids running all over the place. Found what I had gone looking for near the entrance and was waiting for one of the employees to come and check it out so they could grab a new one from the back. Sat there waiting for almost a half hour. People were coming up to me, sitting at the table I wanted, talking about how they also liked it (their kids looking at the firearm andspeaking in whispers to each other). I think it will make a rather interesting story at theirschool on Monday, how they saw a man with a gun and nothing happened:celebrate. At the check out line everyone looked at the firearm, person in front of me paid with a check so that took 5 minutes, giving everyone a fair look at my sidearm while I stood there waiting. The business must not have thought I was a threat or breaking the law because they obviously did not call the cops in the at least 45 minutes I was waiting there in the store, neither did their patrons:cool:.

Maybe they did call the police on you but the police were busy fighting crime and arresting criminals so they had no time for you. Point of the spear.

Parabellum:

Many have said so, but I wish to express my sincere appreciation for your efforts to educate (in the broadest sense) the Wisconsin criminal and judicial system of their duties and limitations under Wisconsin law and Constitution. As a former peace officer in Wisconsin, a concealed carry instructor in Arizona, and a former military officer, I am grateful that there are people such as yourself who are making it much easier for me to follow my oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution.

Thanks again. I have carried openly in Wisconsin a good bit, but never in the SE. I was told 35 years ago that if I carried openly in Milwaukee, I would be arrested for DC. I thought it was BS then, and it obviously still is. Good luck on your civil suit. You should win, but the powers that be are not on your side.

I'm meandering through some posts from WAAAY before I joined,
and found this (arguing against carrying in Milwaukee):

"It is a PUBLIC SAFETY issue. Milwaukee is cracking down on firearms
because of all the shootings going on every day."

I know it's been a couple of years since that was posted and things
have changed, legal-atmosphere-wise, but stop and think for a moment...

You're confusing the illegal actions of criminals with the legal actions
of citizens. That's exactly what the anti-gunners do!
