I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but...
America is probably the ONLY country in the world (even Israel and Switzerland -- often cited as being "free" -- have restrictions) where citizens (in most but not ALL states, sadly) have the right to carry a handgun, either CC (usually with a permit, but that's another topic) or OC (usually no permit required, like it SHOULD be). The rest of the countries on this planet regularly vilify America for its "Gun Culture" and want it done away with, partly, I suppose, in hope of 'emasculating' America just like THEY all allowed themselves to be, where NO such gun freedoms exist today.
If for no other reason except "national identity," America MUST keep its "gun culture" intact, and even RESTORE what has earlier been infringed upon. There should even be MANY MORE people carrying guns out there, preferably visibly (OC) so EVERYONE can see one BIG DIFFERENCE between America and the rest of the subject/serf/slave countries of the world.
Like some cops have said, a gun is a symbol of power...why not should We the People display that symbol as WE are supposed to have the power? Further, it's the also the "badge" of a FREE people...not serfs, subjects or slaves. Why hide a badge?
The 2nd Amendment/RKBA is ONE cultural characteristic than makes America VASTLY DIFFERENT from every other nation in the world. Maybe it's THE most important difference. Why would we ever WANT to be like ANY other country?
And to hell with World Opinion -- that and $2.36 will get me a cup of coffee at my local IHOP...
