I can tell you that someone is not understanding what the true inquiry is with regards to this matter.
Never been an issue in my store, none of the managers have any issues with this.
I agree, I have OC-ed at Dicks several times and wonder if it is the phrasing of the question that is causing the answer.
Can you email them back and ask specifically if they are willing to follow VA State Law and allow customers to OC holstered handguns as they do everywhere else and specifically mention that you are not referring to guns being brought in for other reasons?
so i had the family allready seated and looking at the menu.
i stood up for a minute and the store manager, John Paul, spotted my piece and informed me that i could not carry in the restaraunt, unless i was a police officer in uniform.
i asked him if it was the store policy, and he said yes. i asked him if i could see it in writing, and he driected me to the one plastered on the large windows.
i read it from both sides for a total of three times and i didn't see it reference firearms in any way.
i turned around just as he was hanging up the phone with the general manager.
he re-affirmed that the restaraunt policy was 'no firearms unless you are a police officer in uniform'. i asked to speak with the general manager, and he replied that they cannot give out his #.
i swore to him that i'd never return to waffle house. he was fine with that.
i'll call the hotline and see if i can get connetcted to the general/district manager. store # 1245
Has any body else have experineced this at a local Waffle House?
i swear i've been to the chesapeake waffle house off Volvo Pkwy at least a dozen times last year, and never been booted out ....

^ June time frame. They say 29-year-old Terrence D. Henderson, who last lived in Norfolk, killed 23-year-old Leon L. Hymons II. Hymans was on the ground in the parking lot of the Waffle House on Northampton Blvd. around 3:00 a.m.
--snip-- Noland Trail ..................Those individuals' behavior when they saw my gun and the police creeping up about 10 minutes later, I wonder if someone called LE and said there was a crazy person walking around with a gun?
Plausible, even probable. Would be a very good idea to acquire a digital recorder if you do not include one in your normal gear already.
