Didn't that bill go through this year? a bill for change from CHP to CWP (weapons) other than.

Not in 2011 with the illegal Death Star Committee and Dems in control of the senate. 2012 GA session just got started , but don't expect that issue to move forward this year.

My 1st VA permit was a CWP.

While OCing in the Home Depot at Lynnhaven & Princess Anne on Sunday, I passed a guy wearing a red CSG2 tshirt, OCing both pistol & double mags on the right side. Didn't have time to catch up. Anyone here?

today i OC'd to food lion, and then later to wally world with the kids (day off of school) on the way home i stopped and a pleasant interaction with a cop on the way home.

just a few blocks away from my house i saw a pooch running loose, so i pulled over and got ahold of the dog. just as i did, a city cop rolled by and i got his attention. i was leaned over, holding the dog by it's broken lead, so i'm sure my G27 was in plain view when we spoke.
i asked him if he would mind calling animal controll, and he offered to put the dog in his squad car and let me be on my way.
he made no mention/comment nor did he show any expression/eye movement towards my hip. he was professional and polite.

i should have taken the opportunity to talk with the guy some and express my sincere gratitude for his service to the community. hind sight is 20/20
military/LE/FF/FR discounts on movie tickets just don't cut it, and these guys can't be thanked enough for the times when they are called upon.
and i'm saying all this despite my long, terrible list of traffic infractions and associated tainted impression of LEO's.

and one more; just after the new year i was involved in a traffic accident that unfolded infront of me, and the county officer noticed my GUNS SAVE LIVES sticker among a sea of others (my back glass is pretty cluttered and almost full) and said he was also a VCDL member.
tho i wasn't OC'ing it was a bit of comrodery in an other-wise unpleasant situation.

OC'd to FedEx/Kinkos on Northhampton, and then just on general principle as a show of support went next door to Starbucks (don't drink coffee but bought a bottle of water). Seriously eyed the KrispyCreme but decided I could do without.

Yep... Greek Fire... I remember the days. Heh. Predecessor to napalm. I used to get grief when we had recertification in my later years because I had been to Small Arms Instructor School (SAI) before most of the other instructors. We still carried 45's when I went. Most guys that went to SAI school before me were already retired... :-(

Beautiful day! :D

Yeah, but that was also for carrying a Crossbow, 'cause gunpowder hadn't been invented yet!!!

;-)

I thought they were still using long bows back then :p

I have a decided preference for the Hun Bow, thank you - quick and easy to OC on horseback.

Unicorn sighting

Just met a "Unicorn" at 7-11 on Oyster Point "across the tracks". Didn't have time to chat. Told him about OCDO and happened to have a handful of ED's Cards with me of course, so I gave him half of what I had and told him to check us out here.

OC'd last night at VERY busy Golden Corral (AKA "Da Trough") with spousal unit and 2 youngest. Ran into several family friends and one of my son's teachers. Teacher did a double-take and took a Polaroid (or stared long enough to do so) of Miss Kimber on left hip. Saw quite a few out of state plates before we came in the place, so I planned on stares and possibly MWAG conversation with the manager, but no problems. A few Double Takes but no problems. I was seated in the corner of the table with a wall nearby and heavy traffic going to/from the tables in our section behind me.
That centuries-old truism was proven once again: An armed society is a polite society. I am quite sure at least ONE of the 50-something people that walked past my left elbow last night would have bumped me while I was eating had Miss Kimber not been present.

Quite possibly a crime may have been prevented last night, too, but we'll never know!
(A dig at +++clowns that swear OC is no deterrent to crime.)

Oc'd to McDonalds and the Farm Fresh Starbucks in OV this morning.

It continues to surprise me how people respond to the weapon. I'd say 1 out of 5 people, if I make eye contact with someone within speaking range, and they have seen the weapon, greet me verbally in some manner. That never happened before. It's kind of unsettling sometimes.

OC-ed to my daughters favorite places this morning. Deliah's, Hollister, Aeropostle, Claires and sat outside while she shopped in Bath & Bodyworks watching people walk by. Uneventful in all.
