I have an e mail template for the entire legislature. Rep Suder replied back to my E mail as follows from a slightly different topic:
Dear Senators and representatives:
I have heard that certain members of the legislature want to ban hollow point bullets. Can the sponsors of this bill please explain to me in a non emotional and in a logical way as to why do they feel that hollow points are more dangerous that solid bullets? Have they enquired a ballistic/firearm expert or others in that industry who say that hollow point bullets are more dangerous? Are the sponsors themselves experts of the above to arrive at that conclusion? Does the word 'Hollow Point' sound dangerous or because Homeland security and other Federal depts are buying them?
I would suggest that they consult a host of sources before that ramrod this bill through.
Do the sponsors realize that solid bullets would go through 3-5 persons, depending on the caliber before stopping as opposed to hollow points that just stop the intended target only?
I would really like a logical answer, not an answer full of logical fallacies.
To others: Do not support this bill. It will not do anything to solve the murders in Milwaukee.
Suder's reply:
We will not be banning such bullets.
Thanks for speaking up.

Rep Nerison's reply:
Thank you for contacting me about the Second Amendment right for individuals to keep and bear arms. I appreciate you taking the time to contact me on this issue.
I support the Second Amendment and believe that law abiding citizens have the right to own firearms. Wisconsin has a long history of sporting heritage with gun hunting being a main aspect of it and I don’t see that ever changing.
I do think there needs to be background checks which is why I supported the law (2009 Senate Bill 44) which requires the Department of Justice, when conducting a background check on a prospective handgun purchaser, to check whether the person has been the subject of a court order or finding that person’s mental health would render the person ineligible under federal law to possess a firearm.
Thank you again for contacting me on this issue.
Sincerely,
Lee Nerison
State Representative
96rd Assembly District

Enclosed is a link to a U Tube showing the results of the Australian gun control. It is only 6.30 minutes long. Please watch it. Let's keep Wisconsin a state which is not afraid of guns and find means to prevent firearms being possessed by those who have lost their second amendment rights.
