But, his answer contains YES in it. Just not the letters Y, E and S.

Well...that clears it up...

What else can the man say? What else should he have to say?

He said he would prefer customers carry concealed, but if they open carry he clearly said he was OK with it too.

I had a longgg drawn out response here but figured it wasn't worth the time nor the effort. Thanks for reminding me why I try to stay on this side of the mountain. :banghead:

Bodo's apparently has a new spokesperson.

Appears he has gone from the drive-in window to attempting to answer questions directed to the owner.

You're not going to get an answer. This type does not give answers. They say a lot of words so that anyone can find any answer they want to find in there somewhere.

Then in real life, when they ask you to do something you don't want to do, they can point back to all those words and say 'see, I said it right there', pretty much no matter what the situation actually is.

The best response so far, from our own Peter Nap: "We went by Bodo's this afternoon....and kept going!"

This world is confusing enough. We certainly don't need to endure more confusion cast upon us by people who do so intentionally, and for their own selfish purposes.

Sorry, papabear, I haven't checked back since I posted.

The answer, now given many times, is yes, we allow open carriers in the stores. I haven't been unclear in my reponses, merely deliberate. Some have appreciated that. Some have not. "Yes" was not, to my mind, the only thing worth saying.

"We certainly don't need to endure more confusion cast upon us by people who do so intentionally, and for their own selfish purposes." Very true. I don't, however, have an axe to grind, despite any presumption to the contrary.

I agree with everyone who has said that people should spend their money where they like. I agree whether or not they choose to patronize Bodo's. I have only tried to explain, in good faith, what I take to be the issues involved. You are, of course, free to make whatever choice you feel is best given my honest response to an honest question, but I respectfully decline to unsay what I've said.

I do appreciate you coming here to express your views.

Will an open carrier be asked/told to leave, conceal or take their firearm to their car because/if someone complains even though they've done nothing wrong??

A simply yes or no answer will do.

And what you consider negative comments regarding LE, aren't.
Those remarks are made by LE to LE as only LE can post on Policeone.com.
I generally would not make remarks degrading a lawful career path, I might pick apart the actions of the person but not the job itself.
In one of your first post you seemed to put much stock in the training that LE receives, I just pointed out it doesn't amount to squat.

Thanks, Marco.

I have actually answered this above, and I don't want to just ignore the question, but I don't believe a simple yes or no will do. Please have a look at my previous response. Maybe it would be helpful for me to say that a customer who is open carrying is no more or less likely than a customer who is not to be asked to alter their conduct. We'll hold everyone to the same standard. Thanks for taking the time to clear up the intent of your remarks regarding LEOs too.
