I think they started arming after the Occupy Seattle clowns began disrupting bank functions.

I've seen them a handful of times at the PO BoA, white shirts, black pants, gunbelt with handcuffs and revolver (they actually carry .357s) and speed loader pouches.
They're always in downtown seattle standing armed watch in front of bank, at the BoA on 701 2nd Ave they're sitting there, two guards, .357s watching and questioning people who come in.

Yep they issue S&W .357's. Wackenhut was one of few, along with Trinity down in California that issued sidearms to guards. Up here in WA every company issues guns, it's state law.

Please cite the law per the forum rules.

Sorry about that here we are:

RCW 18.170.050

Armed private security guard license authority — Registration of firearms.

(1) An armed private security guard license grants authority to the holder, while in the performance of his or her duties, to carry a firearm with which the holder has met the proficiency requirements established by the commission.

(2) All firearms carried by armed private security guards in the performance of their duties must be owned or leased by the employer and, if required by law, must be registered with the proper government agency.

I just got licensed as a security guard. Most security guards don't carry, but if they do they get additional training and qualification. If they do carry, it must be owned by the security company and issued.

I'm going into armored car, so it's going to be part of the gig.

See in California, almost every single guard carries their personally owned firearms and equipment like I did. Unless you work for one of those big companies with a special contract you don't carry anything company issued. They see it as a liability apparently, if you use the gun when your off and someone gets hurt with it or it gets stolen it's on them.

I see that's something that this could be annoying if they issue me a gun I despise like a POS Rossi revolver. (Like one company I know did)

Slightly right of center
1) It's "grammar".
2) For fark's sake, it's common internet etiquette to use some form of paragraph delineation. What was typed above would make Ouroboros proud in its inscrutability between start and end. A couple presses of the "enter" key now and then would make a huge difference in comprehensibility.
3) Caps lock: cruise control for cool.

Yep, bad punctuation makes for difficult reading which frustrates me. Eventually it occurred to me that I didn't actually need to read the post if it sucked that bad. Now when I notice that I'm getting frustrated trying to make sense out of some gibberish, I will usually remember to move on to the next post. This doesn't help with the you're/your then/than of/have simi/semi OMG you're making us look like idiots stuff, but what are ya gonna do...

I saw earlier in this thread, someone was asking about banks that are OC OK...and wanted to throw out Washington Federal. An employee did a search on their internal rules and regulations, nothing is mentioned from what they could find about the bank being a gun free zone.

Also I can add that at the Blaine Branch multiple customers OC. Some of them frequent nearly daily, because "they have better coffee then City Hall"

Cheers!
