Let me get this straight? YOU think jokes about RAPE is acceptable?

No. And nothing I wrote should lead anyone who isn't blinded by some raw hatred and who has a reading level above 5th grade to believe otherwise.

Note that I said some radical feminists tried to equate "off color jokes" to rape. That doesn't mean the off color jokes were about rape. It means someone tried to equate every "dumb blonde" joke told in an office to rape or other sexual assault.

And you have the nerve to claim I bait!

I now have the nerve to assert you need to relax and try reading a little more carefully before flying off the handle.

I remember when the radical feminists starting trying to equate every off color joke in the workplace to sexual assault. Their clear intent was to elevate fairly minor offenses into something far worse. It was rather quickly realized by most sensible people that such tactics were at least as likely to instead diminish the severity of rape. After all, if hearing a mildly offensive off-color joke (which I will add is WAY less offensive than seeing prostitutes and drug dealers engaging in coitus in a public park) over a cubicle wall is the same as being raped, then maybe rape isn't all that bad. I mean, most guys haven't been raped. But most of us have heard a joke at one point or another that we thought was inappropriate, offensive, or not funny. The joke isn't all that bad.

Trying to equate everything you dislike to rape is no different than equating every government action with which you disagree to the Nazis. In other words, trotting out rape analogies is a form of Godwyn's law.

Congrats.

Your post was clear that you find jokes in the work place acceptable that are sexually related, plus it was in response to rape post. I find your position disgusting to say the least.

That guy has some rocks loose.

They still don't counter the analogy instead try to make it a personal issue with way out there scenarios having nothing to do with what was said.

I guess we know the answer though, they do blame the victim rather than the aggressor.

Give it a rest and lighten up. My post made no such position.

Truth of the matter is, as a man of faith, I'm among the first to be offended at off color or inappropriate jokes or language in the workplace. Had I brought that up in any other context, no doubt you and others would mock me for being uptight. After all, anyone who objects to coitus in the public parks just needs to grow up, right?

What I find offensive is equating a dumb blonde joke to rape or other sexual assault.

But do keep trying to ascribe clearly false positions to me if it makes you feel better. Your form of passive aggressive conduct I guess.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) on Thursday touted the bill, which would ban magazines of more than 10 rounds, hours after reports circulated that police had foiled a mass shooting plot aimed at Congress.

“Think of the damage that someone could do in the U.S. Capitol with 30 rounds,” he said at a briefing.

Clearly illegal action/threats. Perpetrator Stopped by police before anyone was hurt.

Still they want to ban stuff.

It's why arguing about a photo op is stupid. The gun grabbers just don't care about the pretense, they will use anything -- logic and facts be damned.

Clearly that was a fake black flag event. Police never stop stuff before it happens unless its planned by them. The guy was just exercising his 1a rights. [emoji39]

"Murphy stressed that he has not met “a single hunter or a single person who hunts for sport” who needs more than 10 rounds.
He said those who wanted high-capacity magazines were more interested in “arming against the government.”"

Murphy why are you so afraid of people who recognize the true definition of the 2A?

They foiled a maybe.

Its funny how quickly apologist will justify their whole existence and trampling of liberties because they maybe might have done a few good things.
Your right they should have let the maybe become a reality? Then pick up the pieces later? Which is it? Stop it before (maybe) or wait till its over and people are dead? Just not happy either way...

No primus, but it would be nice if the FBI didn't consistently find confused/out of sorts nincompoops and recruit, foster, cultivate, radicalize, train, arm, etc. just to finally arrest them and somehow claim a "victory" for that which THEY created.

Nearly all of the "foiled" terrorist plots since 9-11 have been started under FBI direction. At least they have never repeated giving their patsies live explosives like they did in the 93 WTC bombing.

Another rally:
http://www.kirotv.com/ap/ap/us/gun-rights-advocates-rally-at-washington-state-cap/nj6d8/

"By DERRICK NUNNALLY
The Associated Press
OLYMPIA, Wash. — A gun-rights rally drew about 50 people, mostly armed, to the steps of the Capitol on Saturday morning for a demonstration they hoped would end with their arrest. To raise money for bail, some protesters hawked caps with "Fight Tyranny — Shoot Back" printed on them and sold out."

So when did it become ok to arrest somebody for not committing a crime?

If a person stands outside a corner store doing absolutely nothing wrong and is arrested to prevent the person from robbing the store, how is that any different? I think I see your point though. Lets start arresting people proactively. I'm sure you've seen the movie Minority Report.

They'll grasp at every straw to rationalize their tyranny. The most atrocious organizations of the state throughout history always tried to justify their actions.

I just keep in mind they are a bunch of liars.
