This is accurate info.I see some that i have to chuckle at as they think whats important here is what long guns to carry, or how many.Long guns will be carried slung over the back, muzzle down ,no mag and bolt open.we are attempting to make a positive image of gun owners so fellas leave the camos at home it make us look like clowns.I have the support of Dave workman and the SAF and there will be some prominent speakers there.I saw the anti gun rally on the news and you can bet the media will be there at ours.So think carefully about the image we want to portray.[/QUOTE]

Remember we are not trying to impress each other we already know we are awesome. We have to, need to, impress the legislators and the general public. Camo will not help nor will an old greese stained ball cap. Dress up a notch that day wear a nice shirt, clean pants and leave the old ratty but oh so comfortable tennis shoes home.

If the media shows up and I believe they will they will go find the guy that looks like a bubba in camo and carrying an AR with a grenade launcher and an offensive sign, do not be that guy/girl we all get to see on TV. This is like a job interview we need to impress if we want to maintain our rights. I know it should not be that way but it is. Lets look better than the antis did yesterday.

Be very careful about what you say to the press, if you do not know enough or are not very comfortable talking to them politely decline an interview and send them Jim's way.

This is ALL truth. They put the 'crazy lookin guy" in the headline and the "stupid comment" right next to it.

Like SVG? He is the one they chose to interview after all.

That was the anti rally.

At the pro rally they may very well choose a different tactic.

I urge people to follow Jim's and Orphans advise.

I would also urge to not have signs be of any sort of personal attacks on specific politicians or parties, that too may become the focus and a distraction.

I am wearing dress clothes and a tie, and you all know how I like my shorts and slippahs!

I have my fire suit on

I guess all the people who wear jeans and tennis shoes better stay home with there flannel shirts because everyone knows that if you dress like that you can't support the 2nd amendment. Besides that ar strapped across your back looks a lot less intimidating if you are wearing slacks and A sports jacket. Flame on

No flame from me

I see nothing wrong with Jeans, flannel shirts and tennis shoes I live in them all I was saying is it helps to look as nice as you can on this day and to think about what you are wearing. I am planning on wearing my almost new tennis shoes a pair of tan lee jeans, a polo shirt and a Jacket if its cold enough. I am not getting dressed up nor was I suggesting that anyone wear a three piece suit.

 I know I'm dressing for warmth, not style--if the weather is anything like it is today, at any rate. I don't think our cause would be any further forward by my getting hypothermia. (Have you SEEN women's "business casual"? Most of the fabrics are thin enough to read newsprint through, for petesake.)

For a warm coat, I have three choices: multi-layered (with attendant FLANNEL, ohnoes!); a Carhartt; or a full-length black trenchcoat with a warm winter liner.

Alas, whichever I choose, I have no AR to accessorize with. Not even this cuddly one. ;D

I'll probably just have jeans, two shirts and my zip-up eddie bauer jacket. I doubt carhartts will hurt the cause, in some circles even in urban areas carhartts and realtree jackets have become somewhat of a fashion accessory.

You guys are killing me...

Camo, no camo. Jeans or slacks. AR or antique... Just come and be there for the sake of our kids ability to defend themselves. Don't talk to the press unless you are Mr. Well Spoken, the 2A Defender, that's his job. I personally have nothing to say to them other than simply being there. And finally, don't be an ass. There it is. Simple. Jeesh.

See you guys!

I was planning on a tux, but I guess not now :D I'll be wearing my normal jeans and a hoodie with my carhartt vest and ball cap. I think my daughter will be in something adorable and her pink carhartt coat. I'm thinking that I'll get her a little pink capgun for her to sling on her shoulder. Maybe with princesses and ponies...
