I will try to be there(if I can get the time off from work), though not sure if the wife can make it too.

So, the 19th there is no session? so what is the rally for if no one is going to be there to see it but those of us who are 2A defenders?

There is another one on February 8th? I will have to put in for the day off to be there.

Thanks

The TV news stations will be there, at least we hope they will be, we need a crowd the bigger the better. Do not forget that by Feb 8th they could have passed a new law, I do not think they will but you never know. The antis are trying to move as fast as they can on this so as not to loose momentum. It is our job to stop the momentum the sooner we do that the more effective we will be.

Anti-gunners move to silence firearms owners on Jan. 19!

Anti-gunners not only want to erase the Second Amendment, now they are trying to deprive firearms owners of their First Amendment rights by petitioning – through MoveOn.org – the National Rifle Association to stop the nationwide Gun Appreciation Day (GAD) on Jan. 19.

All the more reason to show up "in force", for lack of a better, more PC term. Do not let these people think they have succeeded in intimidating us from exercising our rights. I have already recruited a couple extra from other forums. It's important that more than just the membership here show that day to send a message.

I have extended an invitation to the representatives in my district to join us on the 19th. I am hoping if they are not on our side that they would at least be willing to engage us in dialogue. I eagerly await their reply. I would ask those going here to do the same.

The Gadsden flag goes back way before the tea party.

I know, but unfortunately modern teapartyists have adopted it as their insignia, and use it at their rallies, etc. Facebook even temporarily banned photos of Gadsdens for this reason. I personally think it is insulting, but that's just me.

What's insulting about a group that believes in the Constitution flying the Gadsden flag?

Let me make sure I understand you correctly. They are attempting to take away your rights and your are worried about insulting them, did I get that right.

BTW the Gadsden flag flies 24 7, illuminated BTW, in my drive way along with an American flag and a USMC flag for my son and ancestors.

If anyone does not like it then come take it down, I'll wait right here for them to show up.

It's being spread via other "social media" and through old-fashioned face-to-face word of mouth. My husband says some people from his work are talking (in the break room) about attending.

I've talked to people in other states as well, seems this is really taking off. Parking is going to be a world-class booger.
