Gack!

Burger King on Jeff Davis was out of grape jam. Had to rough it with strawberry.

Apparently it is difficult to plan ahead or look at diminishing stock to know when to reorder. Would have thought that they would have learned that in management college.

Sorry to butt in on this small point, but what you experienced is the tiniest tip of the iceberg regarding fast food management incompetence. My Sunday shooting group used to stop at McDonald's afterward for food, beverages, and conversation without earplugs. They were always out of one or more everyday staples. Last straw was the day they had no ketchup, coffee, or paper napkins.

We have moved on to another chain place, and it's just a little better. Just a little.

I now carry my own necessities bag with all of the wanted/needed seasonings inside. Just added a small container of grape jelly.

Carrying my own grape jelly paid dividend this morning as BK on Jeff Davis still did not have any grape. Hasn't had any since last week.

have you told anyone there? told them you NEED it and asked them for a date that they will have it back in stock? contacted their head office to complain that they have ignored your requests?

River City a few years ago, never had any malt vinegar which meant I couldn't order the fish and chips, because any self respecting Englishman will inform you that malt vinegar is an absolute MUST on fish and chips. I asked each of the servers to make sure the guy who did the ordering got some, but he never did until I contacted their head office and complained, listing the days and servers I had asked. They had the malt vinegar the next time I went in.

The guy in question now no longer works there and I believe Theresa & Bridgette are responsible for ordering supplies now. Food improved there when he left too.

But sometimes you just have to move up the chain of command to get the food you want

SYSCO driver probably gave shorted item away to the previous customer, by mistake. If you get back to the yard with an empty trailer, obviously every thing got delivered correctly.

I realize these two companies have their own delivery service, but the principle is the same.

Wrong thread?

No, an explanation of an extended Out Of Stock by a truck driver.

Same result can be obtained by delivering it to the local landfill.

Shouldn't have bothered with the free biscuit at Chic-fil-A. There is o option/choice - only selection is a piece of chicken on a lightly buttered biscuit - very bland and dry.

Hit the ground running this morning.

After breakfast at home went to Burger King and Hardee's for more breakfast at the usual locations. Then to Walmart on Sheila Rd and the pharmacy at Walmart on Hopkins.

Getting a renewal/refill on an active (currently taking) non-controlled medication is not supposed to be this difficult.

After all breakfasts were over went in 7-11 on Jeff Davis near my Hardee's to get lottery tickets. Richmond LEO hardly blinked at my OCd 1911.

Ended up my public OC day at Capt. D's just down the street where it was business as usual.

Had breakfast at Golden Corral on Providence Rd.

Stopped in at Office Max and Wawa on Foresthill near Chippenham, then to 360 West Auto where they fixed a minor problem expeditiously. Thought i had a bad water pump - turned out to be a blown inline fuse for the electric fan.

Been chasing a replacement belt hook holster for my smart phone. Initially went to Verizon on Foresthill - they directed me to Best Buy southside, but first checked the above mentioned Office Max.

By the end of the day the situation was just they way I started out this morning - truck running properly, but no cell phone case.

My OCd 1911 never left its holster, no matter how frustrated/irritated I got.

Double breakfast at the usual BK and Hardee's. Back to Verizon on Forest Hill to clear up some issues with my phone.

Had lunch at Sam's Hotdog Stand in Hanover - best hotdogs in the state IMO. Peter Nap introduced me to this establishment some years ago.

Ended my OCing experiences today at a neighborhood Walmart on Ironbridge Rd.

Everyone was happy to accept my money - at least they smiled a lot. :)

Had late breakfast plus early lunch at Golden Corral on Providence Rd. Ate five (5) full plates.

Still need a safety line to get to my truck though with the wind blowing so hard.

OCd at the Dairy Bar in Scott's Addition for breakfast.

Had lunch at Taco Bell on Broad Street at Bethlehem Road.

Saw my first daffodils and cherry blossoms of the season. Spring is on the way.
