Finished up my OC day with dinner at Golden Corral on Providence Rd.

The one LEO in there didn't seem at all concerned that I had a 1911 on my hip.

Had OC breakfast at the Waffle House on Meadowdale Blvd.

In spite of the fact that reps from the parent company (South East Waffles) were there in mass, they couldn't get my order right. Me think they have risen to there level of incompetence.

There was no objection to my 1911 and the server thought it was kewl that I carry/bring my own cinnamon.

I'm offended that people can just openly carry around cinnamon completely unregulated. There need to be Cinnamon Free Zones where I can feel safe.

Cinnamon can be very dangerous when my son was a wee lad he was helping his mother bake cookies she had a small tub of cinnamon on the counter.

He went to smell it instead he blew into the tub cinnamon blew up his nose and into is eyes.

After we were done putting his head under the faucet he said it very painful his eyes were red for few days.

To this day many many years later he says he does not want to repeat that.

So maybe back ground checks on cinnamon needs to be done.

Anything can be misused/abused - don't blame the cinnamon/tool. Blame the person.

Now we need a law that anyone who carries a concealed container (whether secured or not) of cinnamon into any premises that serves rolls, French toast or fried apples may not open that container on said premises or their curtilage

Yep, we need a law to punish those who are presently innocent of any crime.

The basic condiments not supplied by restaurants are:
Garlic salt/powder
Honey (not honey sauce)
Cinnamon

What is your favorite?

My personal favorite that restaurants don't carry is HP Sauce, which looks like steak sauce, but is thicker and tastes much better. Can be used in place of A1, ketchup, mayonnaise very easily and improves the taste. I'll also add about half a cup of it in the mix when I make any kind of stew at home.

When I first came to Virginia I had to have it imported using a British grocery supplier in NY, but more recently I've been able to get it via Amazon prime

Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce includes vinegar, molasses, sugar, salt, anchovies, tamarind extract, onions and garlic, cloves, soy sauce, lemons, pickles and peppers.
Anchovies aren't just for breakfast any more...:D

Honey (not honey sauce)

KFC offers a honey sauce - cut and diluted honey.

Lee's Chicken on West Broad St. across the parking lot from the original Pleasant's Hardware has packets of light amber honey and the chicken is far superior to KFC. Lee was at one time a partner of Col Saunders. Only drawback is that they do not have multiple, more convenient locations.

So you put grape jelly on sausage also? That answers many questions.

Nemo
That option exists only on days ending in a "Y"

It has been said that some people question any answer. It is my impression that a toothpick will not effectively remove a bone in the teeth.

The weather is to our liking - liquid sunshine.

Will be back on our regular scheduled programing today. So many places to go and so many people to see.

Gack!

Burger King on Jeff Davis was out of grape jam. Had to rough it with strawberry.

Apparently it is difficult to plan ahead or look at diminishing stock to know when to reorder. Would have thought that they would have learned that in management college.

Today started my OC day at the same Burger King and Hardee's. BK was still out of grape jam.

Went by the Hearing Aid Store on Patterson Avenue and then to Walmart on Hopkins Rd.
At Walmart a lady rushed up throwing her arms around me. She used to be my server at Shoney's on Broad St - is working at the Sheila Rd Walmart now.

Finished up my OC excursions at Food Lion on Meadowburm.
