I look at posting here similar to OC because we are "ambassadors" of OC and gun owners in general. If you feel threatened by people or think that "personal attacks" are taking place here, by all means report it. Asking simple two or three word questions rarely rises to that level, however.
Remember that posting on line opens one up to criticism, deserved or not. Taking the high road, much as FreeInAZ did in his post, will get you further than proclaiming you are being harassed when others pose questions.

So everyone who asks a question about carry is a "sheeple"? Is that because they have the audacity to ask a question? The person who asked me the question originally is totally gun friendly. Lets be careful of painting everyone with a wide brush stroke.

I see two possible answers to the original question. The non-smartass answer: (As has been previously pointed out) Because I never know when or where I may need to defend myself, or my loved ones from violent attack.

The Smartass answer: Sorry, my crystal ball couldn't tell me if I'd need it or not, so I decided to go on the side of caution and carry my weapon.

Anything else is just a variation of the above.
