Back in those days the bad guys had guns and the good guys had guns. The good guys used their guns to stop acts of the bad guys and other good guys sat on juries and ruled self-defense.

Not a lot of old bad guys in the Old West.

Some people are arguing that allowing felons to keep and bear arms will"cause more danger and violence." Even if this were true- which I am not convinced is the case- I would still support a felon's right to keep and bear arms.

This country was founded on principles of individualfreedom, not safety and security. Want to live in a "safe" society? Move to Japan. I would much rather live in a free society- and put up with the "dangers" that go along with it- than a "safe" but tyrannical society that favors security over liberty.

Thomas Jefferson once quipped, "I much prefer dangerous freedom to peaceful slavery." I wholeheartedly agree.
