It was a Walgreens that I had stopped into late at night that I chased 2 drunk asshats out of. I posted about it in the OCE area of this site. I am fairly sure they were drunk and maybe not going to do the things they said, but I am glad I was there anyway. My google-fu is week so I can't find my post but the reason the store wouldn't allow me to leave a stack of MOC tri-folds was due to a "policy" that referred to weapons.

When you advertise to criminals your employees can't carry firearms and are fired if they do....guess what happens? Btw...I live 1 mile from this location, I'm glad I vowed to never shop there again.

Suspect sought in Eastpointe Walgreens robbery

Eastpointe— Police are searching for a man they say used a gun to hold up a Walgreens drug store at 8 Mile and Kelly Road on Thursday.
Police say the suspect entered the store at 9:40 p.m. armed with a handgun and wearing a mask. He approached the manager near his office and demanded money, which he stuffed into a bag before fleeing, according to Lt. Dave Ernatt with the Eastpointe Police Department.
The man was last seen running north through the store's parking lot. He is described as about 25 years old and 5-foot-7-inches tall with a thin build, Ernatt said. He was wearing a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt and black jeans, Ernatt said.
Anyone with information should call the Eastpointe Police Department at (586) 445-9435 or (586) 445-9415.

Walgreens has given the criminal element an invitation to rob them. Seems the criminals are sending in their RSVP's. This makes twice for this location in my city. Pity.

EASTPOINTE, Mich. -- An Eastpointe Walgreens store was robbed of about $4,000 dollars Sunday night on Kelly Road near 8 Mile Road.
Police said two gunman walked into the store and forced the manager into a back room where he opened a safe.
The two men fled the store in a white van.
One man was described as black with a medium build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black tennis shoes and dark cloth covering his face. Police said he was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun.
The other man also was described as black. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black tennis shoes, black pants and dark cloth covering his face. He was carrying a black nylon back and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
Police are searching for two men shown on the store's surveillance video.

That is less than 3 miles from me. :shocker:

I remember one of my neighbors saying to me last year, after I began to OC, 'why do you need that? this is roseville...' :uhoh:

Jeremy got a new job at a mom & pop shop not too far away. When I learn where I will let you know. Unless someone finds out sooner.

Pat him on the back if you do.

When a buisness would rather serve and be robbed by criminals then let law abiding citizens carry either as a worker or customer than anyone working there or shopping at the buisness should not be suprised to be robbed, raped, or killed.

Shopping at such stores only encourages crime and criminal activity.

Criminal activity spikes through the roof(no one armed to stop them). Paying customers flee the business in droves seeking safer place to buy greeting cards and milk...anti-gun business closes. Will corporate America take note? We'll see.

The case is "Hoven v. Walgreen Co.", case number 1:2011cv00881, filed August 19, 2011 in Michigan Western District Court, Southern Division (1) Office.

It is reportedly available on PACER, but I don't have an account (yet). Who can get a copy of the complaint?

Hello? Those with access to PACER, what's the hold up? (I'm still waiting on the registration.)
