I am looking to trade off my G19 for something smaller. As you know the logical move would be to the G26. But, I handled a M&P 9c the other day and it is SO much more comfortable in hand. Now I am looking at the Sig p250. It looks like the p250 can be made into a full size gun just by buying another frame and mag. That is a cool idea. Summertime when the LCP is being carried the 250 could be in full size home defense mode and then when winter rolls around it goes back to CC. I love Sig guns too. My brain hurts now.... Can someone kick me in the head please? I seem to have my gears stuck.

I absolutely love - as in going into fits of hysterical laughter - when someone talks about deciding to carry a smaller caliber with fewer rounds gun while having a full-size gun at home. It makes me wonder why they even bother to have more than one gun for defensive purposes. If your LCP is sufficient for self defense when away from home, why is it not just as sufficient when at home?Summertime when the LCP is being carried the 250 could be in full size home defense mode and then when winter rolls around it goes back to CC.
By your logic one would simply strap on a .45 and be good wherever he went.
That's the approach I have taken.

Same here. Full size M&P .45. Crossbreed Supertuck with a belt from The Belt Man, for when it's needed to cover up.

1 - I do indeed know. I simply choose to discuss a related topic that the vast majority of us have experience with. CC vs OC is as simple as wearing my shirt in or out. I and others do both.
2 - While this has been discussed at length before I shall point out that the carrying of a firearm inside ones own home is a different beast than when out in daily life. A bolt action center fire rifle is not a very good squirrel gun. Likewise, a full size handgun is too large for me to comfortably and continually carry, even openly. I simply prefer to carry something smaller and lighter. Some people prefer to drive a full size truck every day, others prefer a compact car, it is a mater of preference. As a matter of fact, I do use my LCP as a home defense option when I am visiting family and such. Why do you bother to have more than one gun? No, I am not super sensitive to printing. I simply prefer something more comfortable. I often find myself needing to adjust my shirt because the extra grip length has pulled it around and is now holding it against my fat gut I have tried several different holsters and carry positions to fix this but have been unable to get it done. Carry it forward and my pocket becomes useless, carry it back and it really starts to print bad. Take away a bit of grip lengh and that problem stops for whatever reason. I could probably buy a bigger shirt but changing my wardrobe would be more expense than changing the gun. I carry in the city of Charleston almost every day (not illegal but it is unfriendly). Perhaps I didn't fully explain my problem in the OP. Thanks
