We the People employ the police so that we can sit at home and watch TV instead of patrolling ourselves.

Exactly. It is one reason why the phrase "don't take the law into your own hands" bothers me. It is our law our society our responsibility. We just sub it out lately.

IMO, I think that is the correct answer to the video I watched....
Which is more egregious? The one representing the state. Do I want either one representing me? No.
In reading the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and the Federalist Papers, they are well noted for eloquence, not for calling the King or his representatives d-bags or f***ing a-holes.

Ben Franklin did cut out some of Jefferson's stuff in the Declaration of Independence - I think it was derogatory regarding excess actions blamed on Parliament, but it was not quite d'bag level...[emoji15]. If I was carrying I would be concerned if I let my emotions get out of control, and I think yelling would do it for me.

Some people are too new and naive on here and they don't realize all the work that Gray Peterson and others in Washington did to get OC normalized in WA. Before then, people were arrested and tackled for carrying openly.
