Well I personally never met the actual owner, so I do not know what he believes, however you are entitled to your opinion. however my visit was not a FAIL in my book since it was no different then it has been in the past.

Good day for OC today, even a bit to warm for my tastes. my travels took me to-

.key bank-Yelm
,Yelm public services-car tab renewal
.UPS store-Lacey
.home depot-Lacey
.Cabellas-Lacey
.Walmart-Yelm

The only commentary I got was positive, from a fellow shopper leaving Walmart who said she wanted to shop next to me, I suggested that better yet she should start carrying herself.

without attempting to start a fight.... like last time....

.........psssttt super secret info.... not saying anything remotely like an ad.

I may or may not have been to a non specific outdoor themed superstore in Lacey today.... I mean theres so many of those you probably don't even know which one I'm talking about.....

and this non-specific outdoor themed superstore in Lacey may have had lots of a certain meterically measured form of pistol ammunition... that just happens to measure "9" millimeters in diameter... at prices at are probably affordable.... like hypothetically 115 grain for 14 dollars a box of 50...

But i'm not advertising to anyone... this is just a generic outdoor megastore off of I-5 in Lacey....

Had a guy who said he was a recent transplant from Hawaii surprised as hell that you could actually carry. Referred him here.

Another guy @ Winco popped around the corner at checkout asking if I had an M&P, which of course, I do, and he said 'Awesome choice' while giving me the thumbs up, and jumping back in his line.

This is why people don't come here anymore. You take **** WAY too far out. There's a difference between a little joke and just beating the crap out of something until it becomes annoying.

Let me rephrase your post for you

Went down to Cabela's, no issue whatsoever, they even had some 9mm for $14/50

There, was that so hard?

Now, I'm gonna leave for a few months again, so I don't have to deal with all the childish behavior and infighting.

Exactly!

This type of thread is the proper place for sharing what you find while you are out and about, not creating a new thread.

back at Cabela's the other day, still 9mm ball ammo for range practice on the shelves.

They also have .45 ACP, .40 S&W and .357 Sig on the shelves. all revolver cartridges are stocked.

there was some .223 but it's all soft-point ammo for hunting, so not really range ammo unless you are willing to pay a buck a catridge for it.

still no .22LR

If you can get it out of them, ask the folks at Cabela's when they get shipments in. I found out from a buddy on the other side of the mountains that the Chelan Walmart gets ammo shipments typically Thursday night. And sold out Friday morning.

I've oc'd to a number of places lately with nothing but good experiences.
Last night my wife and I went to the federal way red robin to have dinner with my best friends wife. He's currently in Afghanistan on his third tour.
It was a good night and the waiter, a young man about 20, shook my hand and said, " thank you for exercising your Right to open carry."
I said, "thank for saying something."
I'm never really sure what to say when people thank me for carrying.
It was the same thing when people used to thank me for my service. It always made me uncomfortable.

One time I thanked a younger margine for his service. He replied with "Thank you for your support" I think that is pretty good response :)

I have been doing my normal walks through downtown oly almost daily since I live in the marina and its nice to get out and about in the evening when it is not raining. I still have yet to get a comment or a strange look so things are good. I will be in Kingston this weekend so I will see if it is any different there.

Sitting at the Dash Point Starbucks, where I have many times before.... I have previously spoken with the manager and several Barista's here and they all love my 'I Love Guns & Coffee' tire cover, my gun and open carry....

A couple of old retired farts are sitting nearby, reading the paper, talking, etc... you know...what retired folks do.

One woman notices my Jeep and begins to comment to the others in her group. "I bet Starbucks doesn't like that!" One of the gentleman responds "I don't see anything wrong with it." The woman responds "It's offensive, I wonder who owns that Jeep."

At this point, I respond. "I own that Jeep and the manager loves it, every Barista I have ever met loves it. And I certainly respect your right to be offended."

At this point she is speechless and shuts her mouth.

Funny stuff.

Earlier, two older retired gentleman with military ball caps on noticed me OC and I overheard one telling the other that Washington is an open carry state and described the particulars as well as the rights of private property owners. Comforting to hear those conversations, it shows that this group has come a long ways in our education of the public.

I like the whole post,,,
I REALY like your reply!

I just got to wonder..
Did this woman get a chance to be offended,,,
that you were actually carrying a GUN????

I always wear a "Guns Save Lives" sticker on my coat,
Folks, of all types often make good comments, thumbs ups, and i like its, to me when Im out and about.
I have never been scorned by anyone that understands what the words on that sticker means!

BTW... check Ed, in the virrgina forum so you can get some too.

While others noticed, I do not think that she noticed even though I was sitting strong side towards her....

Today was the not the best carry day. Went to south sound bank in west Olympia to deposit a check to cover payroll. Walked in stood in line and then one of the woman behind a desk saw my gun. She asked if I needed help and I said I was here to deposit a check. She then told me to leave the bank and use the drive through because I could not have a gun in the bank. I didn't argue because I was in a hurry to get on the road to get to my cabin in Kingston for the weekend. I went to drive through and sent check through and then was told my new checks have arrived and I needed to go in to get them. I took gun out of holster and put it under seat and went back in. The lady that kicked me out saw me and he got right on the phone and told someone I was back in bank. No one said a word to me because they should have seen my empty holster. I got my checks and left. On my way to Kingston I called and asked for bank manager. Lori answered and I told her what happened and asked her if they have anything written in their policies about carrying in the bank. she told me no and there was nothing on front door. she then tried telling me that it was a federal building and I was not allowed guns in there because of that. I told her it was not federal they are just federally insured. She then told me they were robbed a few months ago and they are not comfortable with guns in building. She then tried lecturing me about why someone would even carry a gun into a bank. I explain to her it is legal and I have done it at west coast,, bank of America a.d the south sound bank in lacey and I have never had a problem there before. Anyways bank is not friendly and wish I could switch my company bank account but right now I just don't have the time.
