Short-Notice, Nearly Impromptu, Phoenix OC lunch

I just found out I can make it into Phoenix for Saturday, the 20th of September.

I realize it is short notice, and is almost right before the AzCDL annual luncheon (October 11th).

The details are as follows:

*Who: any and all Freedom-loving OCers, CCers, or no-Cers.
*What: Short-Notice, Nearly Impromptu, Phoenix OC lunch (SNNIP OC lunch)
*Where: Phoenix eatery (details will be sent by PM.)
*When: 1 pm on Saturday, 20th of September
*Why: Because Freedom-loving individuals should hang (out) together, or else assuredly will hang (out) separately.:lol:

Hope to have plenty of interest and get to spend time with new and familiar faces alike.

Mark Me/(Us) down as a tentative. I really liked the last place we went, however - if there is a demand for a location farther north in the valley, I won't object, as long as it is not a too "snobbish" venue.

Sorry for the late response, I've been fighting the effects of germs spread by people who don't cover their mouth when they cough and/or sneeze. Not fun.

Glad to hear we may be having more gunslingers in attendance.

I figured a Phoenix eatery would allow us to spread out across the map; hopefully we can visit places like Anthem, Peoria, Glendale, Cave Creek, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, and Chandler someday.

As to visiting the last place we ate at: it'll happen again, just like a rematch. But if there is enough demand for visiting them again, we could easily switch it over. Good food for sure.

So far we have two members going for sure, one tentative member +guest, and three members MIA. Hope they're doing alright, but the radio silence on their end is disconcerting.:uhoh:

I may be able to bring a guest; hope I'm able to calm their fears of OC as they currently either CC or no-C.

Failure to launch

Looks like we're gonna have failure to launch for this lunch, I have a 5 hour birthing class I have to go to :banghead: will there be another lunch around the 11th of October with the AZCDL lunch taking place?

That may be asking too much, seeing as the AzCDL lucnh is only three weeks after this Saturday's OC lunch. I figure we can meet at or after the AzCDL lunch for a bit. I've already cleared that Saturday, so I don't have any other plans.

I've got my tickets. In the past some members have taken a stroll to local gas station etc... Nothing like the public seeing a large group of people smartly OCing in public with no: Wild West shoot outs, no streets running red with blood and no children screaming in terror at the sight of law abiding citizens. Go figure?

This might sound bad, but I have a confession, I am not an AZCDL member YET! However is there anyway to get tickets for the luncheon if you are not a member? If not then I am open to throwing something together afterwards, dessert?
