I spoke with the store's General Manager and she said that this is what she would do, since it makes people feel uncomfortable. She told me that her husband has guns and his CCW and that I am better off getting mine and concealing it. I told her what the company policy was and she didn't seem to care much, very nice about it though lol.

So then you need to get in touch with corporate and have them slap the manager down.

Just OC'd there last month no problem. I wonder if there was a different manager that day; a manager helped me find something I was looking for with no mention of my weapon.
I have OC'ed in that store three or four times (don't shop there much) and never had a problem. The last time I asked two different employees for help and had no issue either.

I agree, sometimes it is just a complaint by a customer that sets off the manager......

Well here is the thing, I went to another BBY about 10 miles from the one I am having problems with. I used to work there so I don't know if that had any effect on the situation or not, but I was able to drop off lunch to my girl (works there currently) and buy some ink without issue. I talked to the manager and he said "You have a gun." I said "Do I? O wait ya ha ha." He asked if I had a permit and I said that one is not needed (I have a printout of Nevada laws on me provided by another forum member just in-case). He said cool and I actually had someone who was walking around the store come up to ring me out right away. I can only assume that it is because they wanted me out asap but I was cool with it, awesome customer service! I still work for the company (not in a store though) so I am still trying to figure out how to handle this in the most HR friendly way. The manager from the first store said it could be dangerous to my job to OC in a store because employees may be intimated. I am not exactly afraid I will loose my job or anything, but we are in a recession and my department it slightly over 100% staffing.

Just my fun little story, thanks for listening though!

This week I talked to managers at My local BBY (Rapid City). They indicated no firearms allowed. They referred me to CS mainline who also indicated no firearms as official company policy.
